💜 This World Alzheimer’s Month, we want to take a moment to honour and celebrate the incredible people who are at the heart of everything we do.

To all of our wonderful customers living with dementia, your families, and the friends we have made through our Memory Lane Café — thank you. 💙

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journeys. Thank you for sharing your stories, your laughter, your memories and, sometimes, the more difficult moments too.

At Bluebird Care, we understand that dementia affects every person and every family differently. We feel incredibly privileged to provide specialist dementia care and support, helping people to continue living well, with dignity, independence and choice.

This month, and every month, we honour those living with dementia, remember those we have lost, and stand alongside the families and communities who support them. 💜

🌟 Walking in the Shoes of Someone Living with Dementia 🌟

Yesterday, we joined forces with our friends at the Central Bedfordshire Bluebird Care team to take part in the Virtual Dementia Tour.

We were delighted to be able to offer spaces not only to our own care team, but also to family members of people we support who are living with dementia. 💙

The Virtual Dementia Tour is designed to give participants an insight into what it may feel like to live with dementia. The experience has been developed using research and evidence gathered over five years, including insights from people living with dementia themselves.

It was an incredibly insightful, emotional and thought-provoking day. Everyone who took part came away with a greater understanding of dementia and, importantly, a deeper appreciation of how everyday tasks and environments can feel for someone living with the condition.

We were especially pleased to receive such wonderful feedback from the families who attended. 💙

At Bluebird Care, we believe it is all of our responsibility to learn, understand and continually improve the way we support people living with dementia.

With around 1 in 3 people developing dementia during their lifetime, increasing our understanding and compassion has never been more important.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day such a valuable experience. 💙

🚑 Happy International Paramedics Day from all of us at Bluebird Care! 🚑

Today, we are taking a moment to celebrate the incredible paramedics, ambulance crews, and emergency first responders who work tirelessly to keep our community safe. As home care providers, our Bluebird Care assistants see first hand the vital role paramedics play. Whether it is responding swiftly to an unexpected emergency or providing calm, expert reassurance to one of our customers, we are incredibly proud of the strong relationship we share with our local emergency service's.

By working together, we ensure that our customers can continue to live safely and independently at home, knowing they have a dedicated network of professional support always looking out for them.
