🌿 A little personal news from me! ❤️

Well, October is certainly turning out to be an eventful month! 😂

I'm delighted to share that I've accepted a new job as a Teaching Assistant at a lovely little village school! After years of working with children through Poppy Kids, I'm really excited to be taking on this new challenge.

But don't worry, Poppy Therapies isn't going anywhere! ❤️

Over the coming weeks, I'll gradually be moving towards offering treatments mainly on weekday evenings and a couple of Saturdays each month.

I don't have a start date just yet, so things will change gradually. I'll do my best to honour existing bookings and will contact anyone directly if I need to rearrange an appointment.

I'm looking forward to this new chapter, and to continuing to welcome you into my treatment room, just with a slightly different diary!

Well, autumn seems to have arrived rather suddenly this week! 🍂

One minute it was warm and sunny, and the next I'm wondering where I put my jumpers and thick socks... 😂

But I do love this time of year... colourful leaves, cosy evenings and that definite feeling of the seasons changing.

And there's something new coming to Poppy Therapies with the new month too... involving one of my treatments that doesn't always get quite as much attention as it deserves, plus a little something extra. ❤️

I'll tell you all about it tomorrow!

👣 When did you last give your feet any love?

They carry your entire body around all day.

They keep you balanced.

They walk, run, climb stairs, squeeze into questionable footwear and generally put up with whatever you throw at them. 😂

And most of the time we barely give them a thought.

So here's your little reminder today:

Your feet carry the weight of your whole world. Give them a little time to rest ❤👣

I'm probably not supposed to have a favourite treatment...

But I absolutely do. 😂👣

I've been practising reflexology for over 20 years and it's STILL my favourite treatment... both to give and to receive.

There's something rather lovely about watching someone arrive chatting away, settle back while I start on the first foot...
..and then gradually lose the ability to form a sentence. 😂

By foot number two, I've usually lost them completely.

Now THAT'S relaxation. 🌿

👣 “I'd love to try reflexology… but I'm SO ticklish!”

I hear this more often than you might think!

And here's the good news...
**Reflexology really doesn't tickle** 😊

Over the years I've even had people arrive for treatments they'd been given as gifts looking decidedly nervous, because they *hate* having their feet touched.

Then they've relaxed, thoroughly enjoyed it... and then booked another one. 😂

Reflexology uses gentle, purposeful pressure and manipulation of the reflex points rather than light, tickly strokes... and you can sit up or lie back and completely relax while I work.

So if being ticklish is the thing that's always stopped you trying Reflexology, you might be very pleasantly surprised🌿👣
