Another PB 🥳 race time 49:09 Strava 10k time was 48:59 so I’m taking that one 😂
Thanks again to .am for the coaching, only 5 weeks on plan so I’m excited to see what’s next! 🏃‍♀️

It was great to have racing again, hasn’t ran properly in years, only started training last week and ran 57:08 🙈 unbelievable! 😅

🚩 Don’t Pick Up Where You Left Off!!

One of the biggest mistakes runners make after an injury is trying to return to their previous mileage or pace too quickly 🏃 💨

Although your pain may have settled and your return to run tests are proving pain free, your body has often deconditioned during the recovery period.

Muscles lose strength, tendons and ligaments require time to regain their load tolerance and your cardiovascular fitness may return faster than your tissues can adapt 🩻

A successful return to running should be gradual, allowing your body to rebuild:

🏃 Muscle strength and endurance

Little update 💫

I have decided to reduce my evening availability in order to get more of a work / life balance 💕

As you all know, I’m very grateful to do the job I do because of you all but I do still feel like I haven’t got the right balance yet with taking time off

The reduced hours might just be temporary but we’ll see how it goes… it does mean that evening availability will be even more limited so if you are an evening client, please try and book in advance 🙏

New hours are:
Monday 9am - 7:30pm
Tuesday 9am - 3pm
Wednesday 9am - 4pm
Thursday 9am - 8:30pm
Friday 9am - 1pm
Saturday 9am - 12pm

Accepted a last minute entry at 9 o’clock last night for the Port Sunlight 10k today 🙈

No expectations but to get as close to my 10k time the other week (53:14)…. Managed 52:35 🥳

Safe to say I worked for that and felt every step 😅
Hilly course, couldn’t control my heart rate, hot and thirsty 🥵 but managed to find a bit left in the tank when I seen stood by the church where we got married, screaming at me that I was still on track to get my quickest time in about 10 years ❤️
