What a weekend ❤️

A family engagement party, followed by a house full of family, lots of laughter, very little quiet… and a few of them taking on the Great North Run! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

It’s been busy, noisy, full-on and definitely not the most restful weekend 😂

But as a mum, there’s something incredibly special about having your family all together. Watching your children grow up, seeing them make their own lives, celebrate happy moments and support each other… those are the moments you realise just how precious family is. ❤️

Yes, family life can be exhausting. It can be chaotic, overwhelming and sometimes a lot to juggle.

But then you have weekends like this.

Busy but absolutely bursting with joy. ❤️

And I wouldn’t have it any other way

Sometimes you just need to stop.Take a breath.
And give yourself a little space. 🌿

I’m back near Loch Lomond for a couple of days, and being surrounded by this view is a pretty good reminder of how important it is to pause when life feels overwhelming.

If you’re a mum who spends so much of your time worrying about your child’s anxiety, it can be incredibly hard to switch off.

Your mind keeps going…
Are they okay?

Am I doing enough?

And before you know it, you’re exhausted too.

You don’t have to wait until you’re completely burnt out before looking after yourself.

When your child is struggling with anxiety, it can feel like you’re carrying it too.

For me, it also highlights something really important…When our children are struggling WE STRUGGLE TOO
