Crow How is a grand Victorian country house, built in 1848 as a farmhouse and turned into a guest house in the 1930s. It sits in two acres of private woodland gardens, with the Fairfield Horseshoe and Loughrigg Fell all around it.

There are nine bedrooms, all with king or super king beds, and a spacious guest lounge with board games and puzzles. Ambleside’s cafés, pubs and restaurants are a short walk away, so a day on the fells can end somewhere warm and cosy.

Crow How joins a growing portfolio of venues we can and have operated from. Wherever you stay in the Lakes, we can bring the heat to you.

One year of fire, steam and cold water. 🧖🏽‍♀️

Tarn Saunas is turning 1, and we’re celebrating the only way we know how: by getting you warm.

Join us for a birthday sauna session, 1 hour of heat, followed by three Scandinavian dishes made for the time of day you book:

🌅 Morning sessions: breakfast
☀️ Lunch sessions: lunch menu
🌤️ Afternoon sessions: afternoon menu

The menus have been designed by Tom Hancocks of Tom’s Private Dining . Expect proper Scandi comfort, served after you’ve sweated, soaked and slowed down.

Spaces are limited.

Punchy electrolyte sachets - wild berry
Seven electrolytes and five vitamins, one sachet, ten seconds. Exactly what your body’s asking for throughout the heat.

Goodrays Refocus — zesty lime and kiwi
Electrolytes, magnesium, and lion’s mane in one zesty, tropical hit. A gentle way to come back to yourself as the session winds down.

Chari Tea green with ginger
Warming ginger meets green tea. The bridge between the heat of the sauna and the cold air outside.

Vertue electrolyte sachets — Mango & Passionfruit / Lemon & Lime
Two ways to rehydrate, both worth fighting over. Tropical and bright, or sharp and citrusy — whichever you choose, it’s the last step in a proper reset.
