I just wanted to give a quick update on where I’m up to with my diagnosis, treatment etc and what will be happening with my future appointments.
I’ll be starting treatment on Monday 25th May at the latest, which to start with will consist of 6 months of chemotherapy with the first 12 weeks of that being weekly sessions. Once the first 12 weeks are completed then the chemotherapy will be 3 weekly, there will then be a short break before I have surgery which will be followed by daily radiotherapy.
I’ve been advised that the treatment plan will take a total of around 12 months.
With the chemotherapy starting weekly, I’m unsure of how I’ll be feeling and if I’ll be recovering quickly enough between sessions to come into work. Paired with the fact that I’m at a higher risk of infection and that if I was to pick up a cold etc then the treatment would have to be delayed, I’ve taken the decision not to take any appointment bookings for the next month or so (after the 25th) while I find my feet and see how my body handles the treatment.
I’m very lucky that I have such a good team in the salon and can feel confident that everything will run smoothly in my absence and that all of my clients will be well looked after. 🤍
Tracy has recently taken both Lydia and Faye through extensive hair extension training, and they are now both more than competent to look after all of your extension & colouring needs in my absence.
I’m hoping that I might be able to get at least 1 day a week in the salon once I know where I’m up to, so I’ll keep everyone updated on here and open up my availability on the booking app as and when I’m able to.

I’m currently only waiting for one more appointment to come through, so hopefully the next couple of weeks will run smoothly and I can get as many of you in as I can.
