Congratulations, Jenny!

We’re absolutely delighted to share that Jenny Gordon, Clinical Lead at Dorset House Nursing Home, has won the Good Nurse Award at this year’s Worcestershire Health & Social Care Awards.

Jenny has dedicated more than a decade to supporting residents and their families with compassion and clinical expertise. From mentoring team members and championing person-centred care to speaking up for residents, she consistently goes above and beyond.

Jenny is such an important part of the Dorset House family, and it was wonderful to see her dedication recognised with this very well-deserved award.

We couldn’t be prouder of you, Jenny. Congratulations!

We’re finalists at the Partners in Care Awards!

We’re delighted to share that team members from our Shropshire homes have been named as finalists at this year’s Partners in Care Awards.

We’re Taking On The Rotherwood Walk!

With just two weeks to go, we’re getting ready for The Rotherwood Walk on Wednesday 16th September, this National Fitness Day!

Jack Gibson will be taking on the long walk between two of our Rotherwood homes — Dorset House Nursing Home, Droitwich Spa and Colwall Care Home, Malvern — with our CFO, Tom, and Clare, Lifestyle Coordinator at Colwall Care Home, also taking on the full walk alongside him.

For Jack, this challenge is about much more than walking. Around two years ago, he began working with Rotherwood Healthcare to explore how exercise and movement could improve the lives of those in our care, particularly people living with dementia.
Now, he’s putting that passion into action and raising money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Every three minutes, dementia steals a happily ever after. Research is our chance to change the ending.

We’re Finalists!

We’re so pleased to share some lovely news from our Herefordshire homes!

The John Sperry Memorial Unit at Lynhales Hall and Gwen Walford have both been shortlisted as finalists for the Hereford Times Community Awards 2026 – Healthcare Professional of the Year!

What makes this recognition even more special is that both nominations came from residents’ family members, which means so much to our teams and is such a lovely reflection of the care and support they provide.

We’re incredibly proud of both teams and can’t wait to celebrate at Hereford Cathedral on Wednesday 7th October!
