Join us on Sunday 26th July 2026, for a Fun Ride across the beautiful Willey Estate in Broseley, Shropshire. Willey Estates

Enjoy approx. 8km of stunning estate land, with various jumps available. We also have a lead-rein route to create an all inclusive environment for riders of all abilities to join is!

The fun ride will start at 9:30am and last entry will be 3pm.

We will have refreshments on site throughout the day 😊

We are delighted to be at the Theatre Severn today attending the fantastic Exhibition hosted by Radfield Home Care.

The event has brought together a wide range of organisations and services, all dedicated to supporting people in later life. There are some excellent trade stands offering information, advice and resources on topics including sight loss, dementia support, wellbeing, community activities, health services and much more.

If you’re visiting the exhibition today, please come and say hello to the team from the The Cavalier Centre. We’d love to tell you more about how horses help us build confidence, improve wellbeing and create opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.

It’s wonderful to see so many organisations working together to support our communities and promote positive ageing.

Calling All Shropshire Food & Drink Producers

The Cavalier Centre is delighted to be hosting a unique international event from 11th–14th September, welcoming visitors from across the UK and around the world.

We expect more than 200 guests to stay with us over the weekend, and we would love to showcase the very best food and drink that Shropshire and the surrounding counties have to offer.

Are you a local producer with a product that deserves to be seen, tasted and talked about? Whether you produce cheese, meat, baked goods, preserves, fruit and vegetables, drinks, confectionery or other artisan products, we would love to hear from you.

Our aim is to celebrate and promote the fantastic producers in our region by incorporating local produce into the menus we will be serving throughout the event. This presents a wonderful opportunity to introduce your products to visitors from far and wide while supporting a local charity and helping us create a memorable experience for our guests.

If you would be interested in partnering with us, supplying produce, or discussing how your business could be involved, please get in touch as soon as possible so we can begin planning our menus.

We are incredibly excited about this event and look forward to working with some of the outstanding food and drink producers our region has to offer.

Book your tickets to our in-person workshop and demonstration event with eventing coach Jonquil Hemming on 20th July from 6:30pm.

Jonquil is a renowned youth specialist coach and recognised for her success with the British Eventing pony team for 25 years: winning numerous medals in that period. She now successfully coached riders of all ages and stages and is the current Lead Coach for the Wales and West Midlands Region within British Eventing.

As a coach Jonquil brings a wealth of knowledge and experience and has a keen eye for detail. Her passion is to coach simple systems and good foundations, helping riders to understand what they are doing well and what needs improvement.

Can you help us?

We are in need of hobby horses! Our fantastic new hobby horse course, courtesy of the Stoke Heath wood shop, has been a huge hit!

We have some exciting community outreach programmes coming up, involving our hobby horse course, including birthday parties and fun days....but....we need more hobby horses for our participants to borrow and use while they visit us and enjoy our course.

We want to encourage as many people as we can to get involved and introduce many more children to the joy of horses, both real and hobby horses. The power of imaginative play using hobby horses creates a wonderful, inclusive environment which encompasses such a wide variety of people. It is often a fabulous starting point for children to develop a love of horses!

We are running another of our fabulous masterclasses with Geoff Billington Show Jumper this Wednesday the 10th June. We have spaces available in the four time slots, book now to avoid missing out!

Learn new techniques from an Olympic show jumping legend in a small group environment. Previous attendees have raved about their session with Geoff, highlighting his valuable insights and brilliant approach to coaching!

We're looking for a Site Maintenance Volunteer to help keep our centre in great shape — from cutting grass and repairing fencing to painting and harrowing the arena. Hours are completely flexible and all training is provided.
Whether you're handy with tools, enjoy being outdoors, or simply love making a difference — we'd love to hear from you! 🐴
What you'll get up to:
🌱 Cutting grass & weeding
🔧 Repairing fencing & equipment
🎨 Painting
🏠 Putting up hooks & shelves
🚜 Harrowing the arena
Hours: Fully flexible — you choose when
Experience: Practical skills helpful, but training is provided for everything
Volunteering with us means enjoying the Shropshire countryside, learning new skills, making new friends — and knowing your efforts help change the lives of our riders every single day. 💚
All volunteers receive training and ongoing support. No experience? No problem — just bring a can-do attitude and we'll do the rest!
