I’ve been a little quieter on here recently because family life has needed more of my time and bandwidth.

Social media has had to take a bit of a back seat, but Elven Aesthetic is still very much here and clinic has been quietly ticking along.

I’ve had treatments, consultations and online bookings coming through, and June appointments are starting to build for after Rome.

So if you’ve been thinking about booking a consultation, this is your gentle nudge.

You don’t need to know what treatment you need before booking — that’s what the consultation is for.

Message me if you’d like to book for June.

Ever looked in the mirror and thought:
“I don’t feel tired… so why do I look it?”

It’s not always about sleep.
Sometimes it’s skin quality — dullness, texture, fine lines or crepiness.

Sometimes it’s volume loss — flatter cheeks, under-eye shadows or deeper folds.

Sometimes it’s facial support — a softer jawline, heavier lower face, or changes after weight loss, midlife, stress, or just life doing its thing.

And sometimes it’s a bit of everything.

That’s why I don’t expect you to know what treatment you need before you come.

A consultation is where we look at what’s actually changed, what’s bothering you, what would still look natural, and what fits your budget and timeline.

You don’t need to book a treatment.
You book the conversation.

This is why choosing a safe, medically-led clinic matters.

As a Registered Nurse and Independent Prescriber, any prescription-only medicines used in my clinic are sourced through reputable aesthetic pharmacies, with a traceable supply chain back to the manufacturer.

That means proper prescribing, proper storage, proper documentation and proper accountability.

If a treatment price seems significantly cheaper than everyone else’s, it’s worth asking yourself why.

Your face, your health and your safety are worth more than a bargain treatment.

Always ask:
Who is prescribing? - you should have a face to face consultation with the Prescriber.
Where has the product come from? Is it licenced for use in the UK?
Is it traceable?
Is the practitioner insured and clinically trained?

Cheap is not always cheerful when it comes to injectable treatments.

⚠️SAFETY IN BEAUTY ALERT
Healthcare professionals in Leeds have reportedly identified suspected cases of botulism allegedly linked to Botox injections carried out at a clinic called Iconic Face in Leeds.
This is an evolving situation, but it serves as an important reminder to always choose qualified, insured, and medically trained practitioners for aesthetic treatments.
Please seek urgent medical advice if you experience symptoms such as:
• Difficulty swallowing
• Slurred speech
• Facial weakness
• Blurred or double vision
• Breathing difficulties
Your safety should always come before cost or convenience.
✔️ Check practitioner credentials
✔️ Ask about the products being used
✔️ Ensure treatments take place in safe clinical settings
✔️ Report concerns to relevant health authorities
Awareness saves lives. Please share responsibly and follow official public health guidance for updates.

“I’d never have anything done — I want to look natural.”

Same, babe.
That’s quite literally the assignment. 😂

The goal isn’t to look “done.”
It’s to look fresh, balanced, and still completely like you. xx

Most people don't know what treatment they need.
They just know something has changed.
That's Enough.
A proper consultation should help you understand your options, not pressure you into anything.

Thinking about aesthetic treatments but not sure where to start?
I’ve got some consultation availability this week at Elven Aesthetic.

I’m Rachel, a Registered Nurse and Independent Prescriber, and I work with people who want natural-looking, carefully planned results — especially after weight loss, midlife, menopause, stress, or just life doing its thing.

You don’t need to know what treatment you need before you come. That’s what the consultation is for.
We’ll talk through what’s changed, what’s bothering you, what would still look natural, and what fits your budget and timeline.

I’m based in Mytholmroyd on Fridays, with some Waterfoot appointments by arrangement.
Message me if you’d like to book.

You can love your weight loss and still feel unsettled by changes in your face.

Both things can be true.

After significant weight loss — whether that’s through surgery, injections, lifestyle change, or a combination — the face can change too.

Common things people notice include:

hollowing under the eyes

flatter cheeks

deeper nose-to-mouth folds

softer jawline

looser skin

thinner or more crepey-looking skin

feeling older in photos

That does not make you vain.

It means your face may have lost some of the support it used to have.

The answer is not always “just add filler”. Often we need to think about skin quality, collagen support, facial structure and realistic, natural-looking improvement.

As someone who has lost significant weight myself, this is an area I really care about.

Drop me a message to book for a honest no pressure consultation.

Summer skin reminder from a local nurse-led skin clinic ☀️

I’ve put together a quick carousel on the SPF mistakes we all make — me included.

Things like forgetting hands when driving, thinking SPF is only for holidays, missing neck and chest, and assuming one morning application will cover every situation.

My realistic rule is simple:

Face. Neck. Chest. Hands.

Apply properly in the morning, then top up when exposure is higher — driving for long periods, gardening, walking, sweating, sitting in strong sun, or being outdoors for a while.

Small consistent habits make a big difference to skin quality, pigmentation and premature ageing over time.

Hope it helps. xx
