Time to meet another of our premium listings for the Directory, The Index ran by Vale of Glamorgan Council

The Index is the Vale of Glamorgan's voluntary register of children and young people with disabilities or additional needs.

The Index aims to give a clearer picture of how many children and young people with disabilities or additional needs there are, and through Families First Grant funding support, enables us to work together with other agencies to help better coordinate services.

As it’s the last Friday of the month, we here at The Autism Directory would like to share an uplifting story from the autism community.

The article for this month is about Satoshi Tajiri, the creator of Pokémon, his history, his early years at Game Freak and the creation and stratospheric rise of Pokémon.

Before Pokemon Go, the Johto region, Master Balls, and even Pikachu, there was a man named Satoshi Tajiri. In honor of Pokemon’s 20th Anniversary, I think it’s only right to look at the man who started it all.

Polka Theatre empowers children to navigate their world through inspirational theatre and creative experiences as a world-class theatre facility and free to use play and community space.
Polka offers step-free access and various access performances.

Polka is a dedicated children's theatre in Wimbledon, working to empower children to navigate their world through inspirational theatre and creative experiences.

Polka was one of the first theatres in the UK to offer Relaxed performances.

These first ran in 2006, in consultation with Lambeth Autism Society, as ‘Autism-friendly performances’ but in the years following, adapted and evolved to support a range of sensory sensitivities under the new title of ‘Relaxed performances’.

Polka Theatre empowers children to navigate their world through inspirational theatre and creative experiences as a world-class theatre facility and free to use play and community space. Polka offers step-free access and various access performances.
