Did you know that Caroline has completed all the training required and been awarded with her lactation consultant qualification?

She has! Congratulations Caroline! 🥳

She’s undertaken this mammoth task specifically to support the families at the clinic, she was already incredibly experienced in breastfeeding support and this has just recognised that expertise for her!

To top it all off she’s done all those hours of training while working full time, Motherhood and being a managing director of the clinic 🥰

Save the date because you’re invited to our special Coffee morning stay and play, in aid of MacMillan cancer care 💚

If you’ve ever had your life gatecrashed by Cancer then you’ll know what amazing work MacMillan Cancer care do to support people diagnosed as well as their loved ones.

MacMillan nurses are some of the most dedicated, compassionate and amazing nurses I’ve ever worked with and they’re an invaluable resource to anyone diagnosed with this horrific disease.

We will have cake, coffee, & fun. We will be accepting donations gratefully on the day and via link to this wonderful cause.

Help us to help them, bring everyone one you know and donate what you can to help us to support the work that means so much to so many 🥰

Next weeks baby massage session is really something special! 🤩

Caroline is combining the benefits of a wonderful baby spa experience with her signature baby massage to create the ultimate relaxation session for your baby 🛁🫧

We’ve got candles, low lighting, spa music 🕯️

The session includes a wonderful warm milk bath (child’s farm milk bath products optional) with rose petals, where the warm water and serene environment will help your baby to completely relax

Once your baby is all relaxed, you’ll wrap them up in their nappy and fluffy robe and get hands on with a top to toe massage, leaving them ready for a long snooze when you get home!

Hot drinks and sweet treat provided, so you can chill out afterwards and chat to other mums 🥰

Tongue ties can cause issues, there’s no doubting that, but do they cause all feeding issues? No. Can all feeding issues be fixed with a tongue tie division? Also no.

Tension causing oral restrictions, high arch palates, latch issues, positioning issues, milk supply can all be causes of feeding issues and need addressing in conjunction with a tongue tie division to actually help.

If a practitioner isn’t looking at the big picture, and just dividing a tongue tie without supporting you in all these areas, then the likelihood is that feeding won’t get better 😖

You need a full oral and feeding assessment, a feeding plan, baby checked to see if they have tension, a full medical history taken, and then when all that’s done talk tongue ties with them.

A tongue tie division won’t fix your feeding issues if it’s not the only issue, and it rarely is 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you’re wondering if your baby has a tongue tie, and unsure if that is the cause of your feeding issues, we can help!

For only £39 our Tongue tie practitioners & NICU nurses Katherine & Caroline will do a full oral assessment on your baby, so you will know definitively whether you need to access a division with our trusted partner or wait for the NHS referral.

We do much more than just look at your babies tongue, in our assessments we look at the whole picture including;

Full pregnancy & Birth history
Discuss Feeding issues/concerns
Checking how your baby moves and handles
Full oral assessment (using the Hazelbaker tool)

We will then tell you if a tongue tie division is needed or if feeding support is the way forward, and give you the support you deserve whatever that may be.

We are experts in newborns, we don’t just focus on your babies tongue tie, we look to support you in whatever way is appropriate using our expertise and the most up to date evidence available.

We will cover the life saving skill of CPR. Using the resuscitation dolls and the defibrillator we will have a hands on session where the children learn a valuable skill for life.

We will also cover the basic function and anatomy of the heart
