Spaces available in November & December.
Due to a programme of continuing professional development my diary will be changing for the next 3 months. I have a limited number of full days and will have to reduce my Tuesdays to afternoon only slots.
My full days will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday and alternate Saturdays.
My half day will be Tuesday afternoon.
On Tuesday afternoons I will be taking on small fun tattoos and consultations.
This will only be for the next 12 weeks. At the end of January I will be back to business in a new and improved manner.
At the beginning of December I will be taking bookings for January, February and March.

TOP TIP…Back tattoo? Wear a shirt.
A bit of a tricky on yesterday. Yesterday we had fun listening to Burna Boy and Afrobeats whilst aligning this Unalome and Sanskrit spinal tattoo. The Unalome and lotus represent the journey and strength of female energy. The Sanskrit reads “Happiness is acceptance” and “Smile, breath and go slowly”. Both pretty essential messages for life.
Really pleased with how the design sits on the body. Always happy to do more like this. Thanks very much for booking in it was a pleasure, privilege and honour to mark your skin. Cheers Patrick

Pet Memorial Tattoo.
For a while now I have signed up to Reinventing The Tattoo, this is a subscription based art/tattoo development educational resource run by Guy Aitchison and team. The information within is an invaluable resource full of videos, activities and focused practical tasks. Once a week the group is set a task based upon an aspect of art that is essential to tattooing. Last week was an end of trimester exercise based on a pet memorial tattoo. The design had to include small roses, large lilies, a pet and their favourite toy. The design was to go on a clients chest. There is probably no way that I would attempt to tattoo anything as complex as this but as a concept it works. The work is then submitted for a weekly appraisal by the man himself.
These activities are just one example of the many ways that I develop my professional skills so that my clients get the best job I can possibly do.

Shadow Study.
Reinventing The Tattoo.
For a while now I have signed up to Reinventing The Tattoo, this is a subscription based art/tattoo development educational resource run by Guy Aitchison and team. The information within is an invaluable resource full of videos, activities and focused practical tasks. Once a week the group is set a task based upon an aspect of art that is essential to creating effective tattoos.
Last week the task was to create a still life using a direct light source and two objects of differing materials. The work is then submitted for a weekly appraisal by the man himself.
These activities are just one example of the many ways that I develop my professional skills so that my clients get the best job I can possibly do.

Reinventing The Tattoo
Cover Up Exercise.
I have very little experience at cover ups so have no idea if this would be suitable. I suspect that the red may not be dark enough in places. A fun excercise anyway. On more weekly activity from the curriculum. Each week tattoo related activities are set and subscribers are then asked to complete and submit their work. Pieces are then critiqued by Guy Aitchison and advice offered.
Doing these weekly activities has enabled me to learn loads and develop my skills.

Reflective surfaces Study.
For a while now I have signed up to Reinventing The Tattoo, this is a subscription based art/tattoo development educational resource run by Guy Aitchison and team. The information within is an invaluable resource full of videos, activities and focused practical tasks. Once a week the group is set a task based upon an aspect of art that is essential to creating effective tattoos.
Last week the task was learning tricks to create reflective surfaces. This week I used my own subject matter, trying to make the activity more relevant to my own practice. The work is then submitted for a weekly appraisal by the man himself.
These activities are just one example of the many ways that I develop my professional skills so that my clients get the best job I can possibly do.

Lighting effects.
For a while now I have signed up to Reinventing The Tattoo, this is a subscription based art/tattoo development educational resource run by Guy Aitchison and team. The information within is an invaluable resource full of videos, activities and focused practical tasks. Once a week the group is set a task based upon an aspect of art that is essential to creating effective tattoos.
Last week the task was lighting effects. Using a candle as the light source pupils were asked to create an image that shows how an object would be illuminated by this direct light source. The work is then submitted for a weekly appraisal by the man himself.
These activities are just one example of the many ways that I develop my professional skills so that my clients get the best job I can possibly do.

Rune Name Band
A challenging one from yesterday. Well spaced and proportioned runes that wrap all the way around. Really pleased with how this turned out. If you are considering something like this please make contact but don’t think that it is as easy as just applying a stencil. This one took a little patience.

The work that makes things better.
For a while now I have signed up to Reinventing The Tattoo, this is a subscription based art/tattoo development educational resource run by Guy Aitchison and team. The information within is an invaluable resource full of videos, activities and focused practical tasks. Once a week the group is set a task based upon an aspect of art that is essential to creating effective tattoos.
Last week the task was “Priority” given a set of basic ingredients students were asked to use as many techniques as possible to give the central feature (praying mantis) priority over all other elements.
The work is then submitted for a weekly appraisal by the man himself.

Summer is around the corner.
We have made it through the winter and now spring is well and truly established. The evenings are longer and there are good times ahead.
I have slots available in April, May and June so email me to get your tattoo sorted by summer. I am happy to take on larger bookings and can set up a consultation to discuss Ideas with you no problem.

Concepts Available.
In my profile you will find a small button titled “wanna do”. Clicking on the little circle will take you through to a collection of images that I would like to create in skin. They all revolve around a Celtic inspired foreground and a blue/green background. Some will have been taken already. The images serve as a visual description of the direction I would like to proceed. It is a folder that I hope to add to from time to time. If you like my work and want to see what I would like to tattoo take a look from time to time.
