๐Ÿ’™ WELBY CAREERS | A better way to work in general practice.

You look after your patients. Who looks after you?

At Welby Group, we believe GPs deserve to feel supported, valued and able to enjoy life outside work. We're looking for Salaried GPs, GP Trainers and Educational Supervisors to join our teams across Lincolnshire.

What makes working at Welby different?

โ˜‘๏ธ Competitive salaries from ยฃ11,000 per session, in line with BMA guidance
โ˜‘๏ธ BMA model contract offered
โ˜‘๏ธ Capped workload of up to 26 patients per day
โ˜‘๏ธ Protected CPD time blocked into your clinics
โ˜‘๏ธ Study leave honoured
โ˜‘๏ธ 40 minutes every day for coffee, clinical discussions and learning with colleagues
โ˜‘๏ธ Dedicated time and support for GP Trainers and Educational Supervisors
โ˜‘๏ธ A shared duty rota, with one duty shift per week
โ˜‘๏ธ Opportunities to get involved in clinical research and service improvement
โ˜‘๏ธ A supportive culture that values your ideas, your development and your time at home

Our Service Improvement Group brings ideas from across all five practices together every month. We want our colleagues to have a voice, challenge the way things are done and help turn good ideas into real improvements.

And our philosophy is simple: we don't want our GPs routinely staying late. We want you to have a working life that works for you.

๐Ÿ“ Opportunities across:
โ€ข The Welby Practice โ€“ Bottesford
โ€ข Swingbridge Surgery โ€“ Grantham
โ€ข Cliff Villages Medical Practice โ€“ Navenby and Waddington

**A message to our local community ๐Ÿ’™**

Our receptionists continue to face abuse on a daily basis while simply trying to do their jobs and support our patients.

Sadly, they are now also having to see horrible and derogatory comments about themselves and their colleagues being posted on local Facebook groups.

We understand that people can become frustrated with GP services. We know that accessing healthcare can sometimes be difficult, and we absolutely welcome genuine feedback and concerns. However, there is a huge difference between raising a concern and personally attacking the people working on the front line.

Our receptionists are human beings. They go home and think about these comments. They have feelings, families and lives outside of work. Being called names, ridiculed or personally targeted online can have a real impact on their wellbeing.

This constant abuse and negativity can contribute to staff feeling stressed, taking time off sick and, ultimately, deciding that they no longer want to work in an environment where they are treated this way. When experienced staff leave, it affects **everyone** โ€” patients and the wider practice team.

We are asking our local community to please think before posting.
**You can be unhappy with a service without being abusive towards the person delivering it.**

If you have a concern about the practice, please raise it with us directly so that we have the opportunity to listen, investigate and respond appropriately.

Our receptionists come to work every day to help people. They deserve to be treated with respect.

**Please be kind. There is a person behind the screen โ€” and a person behind the reception desk. ๐Ÿ’™**

๐Ÿ’Š PHARMACY FIRST IS EXPANDING!

Did you know your local pharmacy can already help with conditions such as sore throats, sinusitis, earache, infected insect bites, impetigo, shingles and uncomplicated UTIs?

๐Ÿ†• From autumn 2026, the service is expanding to include migraine, acne, outer ear infections, seasonal allergies and some skin infections and scabies.

Your pharmacist can assess your symptoms, offer advice and, where appropriate, provide treatment โ€” meaning you may not need to see your GP first.

๐Ÿ“ Speak to your local pharmacy to find out what services they offer.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Read more about the changes here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ce8e7431nmno

Pharmacies in England will soon offer treatments for a total of 12 common conditions which save people going to their GP first.
