Amongst the day to day business of raising a young child are those special
moments of wonder, joy, pride and laughter that make it all worthwhile.

Of course, you want the best for your child, and they are growing and learning so fast that every minute together is precious. A regular class is a great way to spend focused time playing together, learning new things and enjoying each other’s company. But what kind of activity should you choose....? Massage? Physical Play? Baby Sign Language? Sensory Play? Yoga? Perhaps you like the sound of them all. Each brings so many benefits for your little one, and would be lots of fun
- but how will you fit them all in? Well now it’s Easy! With Tots Play there is no need to choose, You, and your Baby or Toddler can enjoy all these Experiences and More in One Award Winning Programme. Launched in 2009 by Helen Gillies, and the result of over five years experience of running classes for babies and toddlers in both the UK and abroad, Tots Play was created to offer a varied programme of activity classes, parties and play resources for babies and toddlers, designed to provide not only age appropriate learning experiences for your child, but also exciting, interactive play sessions for you both. A place where you can take time to enjoy those special moments together.

Our Social Tots are the perfect example of why we have a structure to our classes and why it’s so beneficial for this age group.

So many of them, once they’ve been coming for a while, are so good at joining in with all the elements we repeat each week, like our welcome and signing songs.

Why? CONFIDENCE. Coming to a structured class where we follow a routine allows your child (and you) to build their confidence that they know what is happening and what comes next. This helps them feel comfortable and happy to learn, play and develop with us!

So what can you expect each week at Social Tots?

👋 We say hello and welcome everyone

🧘♀️ We get warmed up and do some yoga

🙌 We sing ‘I love to sign’ and have a signing activity

🥁 We play our instruments

🌈 We have some time to freely explore our sensory, physical and cognitive play areas

🥳 We have bubble time

💆♀️ We rest together supported by positive touch

👋 We sing our goodbye song and say goodbye to everyone.

Every activity in Tots Play is carefully chosen to support your little one’s development, and our instructors complete comprehensive training in everything from baby massage, yoga and sensory play to music, signing and supporting you through those early parenting years. ❤️

Our classes are fun and lively, but there’s a purpose behind every activity, helping your baby learn, grow and develop while giving you ideas to continue the fun at home. 🥰

And of course, there’s always time for a chat, a cuppa and some much-needed adult conversation too! 🧡

I remember all too well the overwhelming feeling of needing to leave the house with a young baby, and sometimes it being so much of a struggle that you start to wonder if it's worth the hassle! 😥

Whether you drive, catch the bus or walk to your group though, just this process of getting out and about can have a positive impact on your mental health, as well as lots of other benefits. 🧡

Lots of parents at our classes find that attending every week creates a sense of stability and routine that really helps you make it through the week, and it’s the perfect reason to get out of the house - even when you don’t feel like it! 🥰

When you come to class regularly you’ll meet the same people each week, and start to build friendships with other parents at the same stages of parenthood as you are. They'll be facing the same joys and challenges as you, and understand all the things you’re feeling - and just knowing you’re not alone can be so reassuring! ❤️

The same goes for the babies, they'll enjoy the routine too as well as the class environment where they can learn and make friends. 👶
