LAST SESSION IN TAIBACH NEXT MONDAY!

Our last session of our series of drop-ins in Talbot Memorial Park in Taibach will be on Monday 19th October and it's not to late to join us.

Martyn from In Our Element - South Wales will be leading a great session and of course we'll have the usual fire pit, hot drinks, and friendly faces to welcome you. There are toilets nearby and street parking.

We are pleased to announce that the Lost Peatlands Project - Prosiect Adfer Mawndiroedd has officially started! Funded through The National Lottery Heritage Fund and led by Neath Port Talbot Councils Countryside and NPT Wildlife and partnered with Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru / Natural Resources Wales The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales - WTSWW The Woodland Trust Cymru and Rhondda Cynon Taf Council

We'll be delivering wellbeing activities across 4 valleys - the Afan, Neath, Upper Cynon and Rhondda Valleys.

Our next series of drop-in sessions will be at Baglan Park!

A Season to Slow Down runs weekly on Mondays starting 19th October 10:30-1:30 until 14th December @ Baglan Park.

Hannah has selected a programme inspired by the season of Autumn led by a variety of activity leaders from whittling, fire lighting, wreath making, brush making, and print making!

This programme is free for people living in the Afan Cluster. If you're unsure whether you live in the Afan Cluster, just ask and we'll let you know.

Another great session up at Corrwg Cwtch, Glyncorrwg Mountain Bike Centre and Campsite with NPT Trailblazer and Ancient Boar Adventures

We used punk wood and strikers to light fires, whittled tent pegs, and set up shelters using our own pegs.

We talked about survival in the outdoors, where to set up camp and had a go at making a food cache.

It was another great session

Coed Lleol works with people of all ages- and this summer has been a brilliant reminder of just how much of our work involves children, young people and families across Wales. ☀️🌳

From fun days and family sessions to woodland wellbeing programmes with schools and young people, we’ve been supporting younger people to spend time outdoors, try new skills, play, make things and build confidence in the woods.

There have been campfires, den building, hammocks, nature crafts, games, cooking, water play and plenty more!

And this work doesn’t stop with the summer. Coed Lleol projects across Wales will continue creating opportunities for children, young people, families and adults to access nature and spend time outdoors.
