One of hard things about a having a Chronic health condition is the lack of understanding people have towards you.
The daily decisions you have to make between
- A shower or baby wipes
- Making a phone call or reading an email
- Seeing friends for an hour or going supermarket
- Having coffee out or doing the washing
- etc etc
Or on the harder days or making the wrong choice above.
- brush teeth or just go to bed
- wash face or just go to bed
- getting out of night clothes or staying in them
- see friend for an hour then crashing
- etc etc
I remember the days before having Long Covid of Shower, hair wash, trying on outfits, nipping supermarket before work, nipping into a clothes shop, doing some errands on way home, bobbing in for a cup of tea with friends, last minute social catch up, planning trips, planning holidays, going for a walk, enjoying the hot sunny days, slotting that extra client in at work, quickly emailing or replying to messages, sorting admin…… etc etc
The transition is so challenging for the person going through it nevermind having to explain to someone else.
It’s a daily fine balance of decisions - literally a full time job on its own.
If this resonates with you you’re not on your own.
