When someone gets symptoms around their pelvis - whether it's pain or discomfort, leaking, bladder or bowel issues, it can be put down to a weak pelvic floor because that's what so many women know about.
Kegels are great IF your pelvic floor is weak and just needs a few exercises. But IF you've done these and there's been no change or maybe even made slightly worse, it could well be that the pelvic floor is actually a bit tight!
Tight muscles can indicate that they're being overworked and they can't cope with the load, so when you try and contract them, there's not a lot left to contract.
