Lyme disease awareness month: a lot of people don’t realise that when there is Lyme disease there is always at least 1 co-infection. The complexity lies in that the symptoms are often overlapping.

Ticks can carry more than one pathogen and transmit them simultaneously. A person with a Lyme disease co-infection generally experiences more severe illness, more symptoms, and a longer recovery.

What do you do on a sunny Sunday morning? Today, I find myself on the other side of a horse fun ride as the driver and groom. So I’m taking the opportunity to sit, read my book, a cup of coffee and enjoy the noises of horses whilst surrounded by glorious dandelions.

I’ve just taught all about dandelions to my juniorherbalistclub class (one of my favourites) where the kids roared their lions making lotion bars!

This time next year, I’ll be on the back of my Womble, enjoying the sun in a different way.

Really looking forward to this day with hampshiregardenstrust, about herbs 🪴 in medieval medicine, listening to Professor Monique Simmonds about plant chemicals and possible discoveries and of course, plants and poisons from Amersham Museum! 🌿

It feels so good to be learning in person rather than on zoom!

We have beehives! 🐝🐝 we have 1 hive with bees and a spare (which hopefully will be filled in the next month or so). Our own honey 🍯 & beeswax! We can’t wait….letting them out this afternoon; I’m warming up for the sprint away 💨after opening!
