New Forest Disability Information Service ℹ️ We provide free, impartial information and confidential advice to people of any age who are affected by disability.

We also sell mobility and disability equipment.
🕥 Monday-Friday 9.30am-4.30pm
📍Covering the New Forest District Council area Providing free, impartial, confidential information and advice to those of any age affected by disability throughout the New Forest and surrounding area. We advise upon and sell a range of new and lightly used donated living aids and mobility equipment. A speaker is available for clubs and groups etc, we do not have a fixed fee, however a donation is very welcome. Fee paying services;
Training in disability related subjects e.g welfare benefits, disability discrimination, disability awareness.

Come and take a look at the great range of items in our shop!

Our charity shop stocks new and donated mobility and disability related items - and our wonderful volunteers are always on hand to help and provide guidance. All profits help our charity to support people living with disability in the New Forest.

💚 At Testwood Baptist Church from 10-11.30am on Wednesday 14th October

Everyone at New Forest Disability Information Service is absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted as a FINALIST in New Forest Business Partnership's Brilliance in Business Awards 2026!

⭐ We are a finalist in the New Milton Advertiser and Lymington Times Award for Charity of the Year! ⭐

Since 1998, our charity has provided FREE information and advice to anyone in the New Forest area affected by any disability. We also have an equipment shop, selling new and donated items that can assist people living with mobility or disability challenges. Our mission is to empower people living with disabilities in the New Forest and its surrounding areas, to enable them to lead active and fulfilling lives integrated in society.

The winner of the award will be announced in December - our staff and volunteers have fingers crossed! 🤞🤞

The NFDIS team will be on hand, as ever, to provide FREE independent, confidential and impartial information and guidance on any disability or mobility-related questions.

We are seeking Volunteer Information Officers at our office and shop in Osborne Road, New Milton.

Our Volunteer Information Officers help us by welcoming people to our office and shop, and by providing high-quality information, advice, and guidance for disabled people, their families, carers, professionals, and the wider community.

The role supports our mission to empower individuals affected by disability to lead active and fulfilling lives by helping them make informed choices through accessible, impartial, friendly, and non-judgemental assistance.
