Throwback to London, 2024.

This was one of our early showcase events and, looking back, it feels a bit like finding a photo or in this case a video of yourself before a major glow-up.

Back then, we were still closely tied to TheraPlate.

Fast forward to today, and after years of scientific development, engineering advances, and clinical research, the technology has evolved into something almost impossible to recognise.

We've moved on from our original roots and into an exciting new chapter focused entirely on human health.

The old chapter gave us a place to start.

The next chapter is where things get really interesting.

Most people understand how to use a device.

Few understand why it works.

That's called the mechanism of action [MoA] — the science behind the result.

It's easy to measure an outcome.

The harder question is:

What is actually happening inside the body to create it? 🤓

For years, there were assumptions about how our technology delivered its effects.

But after years of clinical experience, thousands of treatments, collaborations with leading scientists, and ongoing research, we've discovered the story may be far more complex and far more exciting than originally thought. 💭

In fact, some of what we're learning goes beyond the understanding that existed when the technology was first introduced.

Think about that for a moment…

When you attend our clinic, you're not just receiving a treatment. You're benefiting from decades of experience combined with cutting-edge research focused on understanding the "why" behind the results…. And you get Debi 😉🩷 who is the power house of clinic managers keeping the ship steady 🚀

And that's important because widespread NHS adoption doesn't happen because something appears to work.

It happens when the science is understood, the evidence is robust, and the mechanism can be explained.

That's why we're investing so heavily in the research.

Not just to understand what's possible today, but to help shape what becomes available to everyone tomorrow.

Because innovation doesn't come from assumptions.

☔️ Busy day at the clinic today! The rain has brought plenty of people through the door looking to stay dry, while also keeping mobile, pain-free, and moving well. 🚶‍♀️✨

It's been great to meet so many curious Horncastle locals who've been keeping an eye on our progress and finally decided to come and give us a try.

Thanks to everyone who popped in for a chat and a session—we love being part of such a supportive community! ❤️

What a week.

London Tech Week gave us the chance to meet and speak with some incredible people, including Lord Patrick Vallance, and connect with leaders from across science, technology, investment, and government.

There were plenty of reminders of how quickly the world is changing, from seeing Waymo self-driving cars to standing alongside iconic pieces of art (Banksy) and innovation. It felt like a glimpse into both the future and the creativity that drives it.

Standing in the Royal Society, surrounded by centuries of scientific discovery, it was hard not to reflect on the journey so far. What started in Carrington is now attracting attention on some of the biggest stages in UK innovation.

But the most exciting part is what's next.

Next week, we're moving into our new home at Harwell, placing us at the heart of one of the UK's most exciting innovation clusters across life sciences, defence, and space.

From Carrington to London Tech Week. From proving the technology to scaling the impact.

It's an incredible honour to be selected to speak at one of the UK's biggest innovation events and to be recognised as both a National Deep Tech Spotlight and Midlands Spotlight company.

Proud to be flying the flag for the Midlands and showcasing the innovation being built right here in the UK alongside leaders from government, science, industry, and investment.

Is more actually better?

In healthcare, the answer is often no.

More therapies don't automatically mean better outcomes. Combining interventions without understanding their physiological effects can lead to duplication, conflicting responses, unnecessary costs, and sometimes poorer results.

The same applies to training.

Learning how to operate a device is not the same as understanding when, why, and whether it should be used. Operational training and clinical training are two very different things…

And if something goes wrong, it's usually the practitioner, not the manufacturer who carries the responsibility.

That's why we've spent the last decade investing in translational research, working alongside clinicians, scientists, mathematicians, and universities to understand the mechanisms behind what we do.

Not just does it work?

But how does it work? Why does it work? Who does it work for? And when is it most appropriate?

Evidence should drive treatment decisions, not marketing claims or the belief that more is always better.

Sometimes the best outcome comes from doing less—but doing it better.

And if we're honest, we've often gone to greater lengths to understand the mechanism of action and clinical application of our own technology than many manufacturers do with their own products. 😉

Dominic and I are Back from Boston 🇺🇸

Boston Tech Week was a brilliant opportunity. Being invited to showcase our technology and share the science behind it was a real privilege.

Having the chance to discuss the world-class research and engineering being developed in collaboration with our UK university partners, and demonstrate how those innovations are translating into real-world impact, made the experience even more rewarding.

Kendall Square is often called the most innovative square mile on Earth and after spending time there, it's easy to see why. A place where ideas move fast, collaboration happens naturally, and innovation is expected 🚀

Now it's time for London Tech Week 🇬🇧

The future won't build itself. 🚀

Bank holiday weekend was spent in Cambridge getting inspired, punting down the River Cam, and fully embracing our new Oxford vs Cambridge lifestyle 🚣‍♂️🎓

At this point we’re basically one boat race away from earning honorary degrees 😂 between 📍Birmingham, 📍Oxford and 📍Cambridge. We have created our own “Vortex” triangle 😉

Now it’s straight onto a flight to America tomorrow 🇺🇸✈️
