Probably the best core exercise you're not doing

Progress comes in many different shapes and sizes.

The key thing is it's not about perfection. It's about improvement and consistency over time.

Are these movements perfect? No they are not.
But have they shown signs of improvement and progression? For sure.

Is there still room for improvement? Definitely.

Just to add. Never stop trying to get strong. It's the biggest thing you can do in training for longevity

I originally implemented this exercise back in 2013 when experimenting with rehab following a big car crash.
It's been around 13 years since doing it.

3 weeks ago I decided to play around with it again
So we are on week 3 and it's looking pretty good. Still not there yet.

When I put it in a couple of weeks ago it was replicated within the gym using a TRX.

It's pretty cool that people see my stuff and think that's useful for what I'm working on. Is a trend setter a good thing?

This hits different though as it allows you to get deeper and the weight acts as counter balance.

When performing a pistol squat you find you hit a sticking point where you either fall backwards or forwards and can't hit depth.

So I experimented with adding a small weight and it certainly helped back then. And the same applies now
