Well hello there.......its been a long time since ive posted anything here.

I've had a little break but recently i've been thinking about starting up my soapmaking courses again. I've taught over 400 people how to make soap and I miss it. I took a break for a couple of years - please comment or message if you'd be interested in learning cold process soapmaking this year.

Hello 👋

It's been a while since I posted, no excuse other than life has been extremely busy with 2 young children and 3 businesses. I am guilty of neglecting Soapology a little. But not for any longer.

We are still in business and will be trading at Chatsworth Christmas Market again as usual this Nov and into Dec as the Market is now on for an additional 2 weeks. I'm already busy making more soap to keep us fully stocked for the rest of the year.

Some items are being discontinued, shampoo bars, conditioner bars and our home fragrance range no longer aligns with our plans for the future. There are still a few in stock on our website but please snap them up as they will not be replenished once they are gone.

Soap Making Courses are something I've done for 11 years and have taught hundreds of people how to make cold process soap.

Since my daughter started school and is now out of the house Mon-Fri I started to feel that the courses were invading our weekends which we now cherish as family time. They've been on hold for the last few months whilst I decided how I feel about this part of my business going forwards.

It's no secret but you may not know that I also started another business in 2024 which is a flower farm - - growing all of my own flowers from seed. I use the same space as my soap workshop which makes the space a bit harder to keep organised but it is do-able and certain times of year are easier than others.

Anyway, the point of this post is to say that I've decided to offer some mid week soapmaking classes which suit my lifestyle better as the kids are at school and nursery.

I've been getting lots of emails about when the next course will be so I will put some dates on the website today if you'd like to book.

I'll also be reducing the numbers on each course from 8 down to 4 so that we are not too crowded and have a bit more 1 on 1 time and the course will run 10-3 with a half hour break for lunch so that people like me with children can work it into their schedules a bit better.

After years of trying to please others I've now decided to embrace the flexibility that self employment can bring and make it work better for our family.

We are in full on Christmas prep mode here at HQ gearing up for next Friday which is our set up day at Chatsworth Christmas Market.

The market runs from 9th Nov - 1st Dec and the 3 of us who will be staffing our cabin are super excited to see you again. We have some new products too!

Our website is also open 24/7 for online shopping during this time and we will be aiming to keep our dispatch times as normal, within 48 hours of your orders coming in.
