✨ We Are Hiring – Activities Coordinator @ Red Court Care Community ✨

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and creative Activities Coordinator to join our friendly team for up to 30 hours per week.

This is a rewarding role where you will help make a real difference to the lives of our residents by planning and delivering meaningful, engaging, and enjoyable activities tailored to their interests and abilities. From arts and crafts, music sessions, and games to community outings and special events, no two days are the same.

The successful candidate will be passionate about promoting wellbeing, encouraging social interaction, and helping residents maintain independence and enjoyment in everyday life. You will need to be organised, compassionate, and confident communicating with residents, families, and colleagues.

What an incredible time we have had celebrating VE Day across our homes! Residents, staff, families, and entertainers all came together to mark this important occasion with music, remembrance, laughter, and community spirit.

From wonderful live performances by the talented Sue, James Fry, and Jayne Darling, to residents singing along to wartime classics, waving flags, clapping hands, and sharing memories, every home was filled with joy and patriotism. 🎵👏

Our amazing teams truly went above and beyond with wartime costumes, decorations, themed activities, and delicious buffets lovingly prepared by our catering teams. We raised a glass together in remembrance and celebration of the brave men and women who fought for our freedom.

One particularly special moment was watching our very own soldier, Peter, proudly raise the Union Jack, a touching tribute enjoyed by everyone present.

These celebrations were a wonderful way to honour history, bring people together, and create lasting memories for our residents and staff alike ❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped make VE Day so special across all of our homes.

For the third year in a row, Red Roofs has been recognised as one of the Top 20 Care Homes in the East Midlands in the Care Home Awards 2026 by carehomes.co.uk.

These awards recognise the top-rated care homes in each region of the UK, based on reviews from residents and their families and friends, making this achievement even more meaningful.

Trish and her dedicated team were thrilled to receive this award. It’s a true reflection of their hard work, commitment, and the genuine care they provide every single day. This success wouldn’t be possible without the continued support of residents, families, and friends.

At Red Roofs, we truly are one big family, and this recognition shines through in everything we do.

We are delighted to share that we now have a Tiny Tablet available at each of our Red Homes!

Our residents have been thoroughly enjoying their time exploring everything the Tiny Tablet has to offer. From listening to their favourite music 🎶 and taking part in quizzes, to completing puzzles and playing interactive games, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

One of the great things about the Tiny Tablet is that it’s fully portable, meaning it can easily be taken to residents who may have mobility difficulties, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to take part and enjoy the experience 💛
It can be used independently for quiet one-to-one time, or as part of group activities, bringing residents together for shared fun and conversation.

We’ve already seen so many positive benefits, including:

💛 Boosting wellbeing and mood – Music, familiar activities, and gentle stimulation can lift spirits, reduce anxiety, and bring comfort and joy.
🧠 Supporting cognitive stimulation – Quizzes, puzzles, and games help keep minds active, encourage memory recall, and promote mental engagement.

✨ Our Beautiful New Lounge at Red Court ✨
We’re so pleased to share our newly created and decorated lounge , a calm and cosy space for residents to relax, read a book, or enjoy a quiet moment.
This space isn’t just for our residents, family and friends are warmly invited to use the lounge during visits, whether that’s for a catch-up over a cup of tea, sharing stories, or simply spending quality time together in comfortable surroundings.
Creating spaces where loved ones can connect is so important to us, and we hope this new lounge will be enjoyed by everyone who walks through our doors 💛

A Huge Thank You to Sharon & Nigel Lale and family for treating us all at Red Roofs to a wonderful evening at the Riverside last week. This generous gesture was truly appreciated by everyone 🙏
They also kindly sent vouchers to every staff member who couldn’t attend either of the evenings, which meant so much to the whole team.
Our dear Aunty Joan will be greatly missed by all her Red Roofs family. ❤️
