5 reasons osteopathy with me may cost more

My existing patients probably already know this 😘😎 But if you're comparing prices or sitting on the fence, here's what you're actually paying for…

1️⃣ You get access to my brain 🧠
My door is always open. Questions after your appointment? Something changed? Not sure what to do next? Message me. I'll support or signpost you where I can.

2️⃣ I deliberately see fewer patients
I limit the number of patients I take on across my clinics. I want the capacity to know you, remember the bigger picture and give you my attention. You're never just a number.

3️⃣ I help you navigate healthcare too
Alongside osteopathy, I work within the NHS. I regularly liaise with GPs and help patients understand how best to approach getting the care and support they need — particularly with connective tissue disorders.

I can't bypass NHS pathways, but I can help you navigate them.

4️⃣ I'm comfortable with complicated
Hypermobility, EDS and connective tissue disorders are a particular interest of mine. Sometimes treatment helps. Sometimes education, pacing or another professional is what you actually need.

I look at the bigger picture, not just the bit that hurts.

5️⃣ I don't want you dependent on me
My goal is to help you understand your body and feel more confident managing it.

If something isn't working? We adapt.

So yes, you can probably find a cheaper appointment.

But you're paying for more than time on my treatment table.

My experience. My attention. My brain. My support. And the bigger picture.

You get me — not just an appointment slot. ❤️

I hope my existing patients understand this having seen me! 😘😎

But it needs to be said for anyone on the fence, or just anyone that doesn't understand the 5 reasons o
Osteopathy appointments with me may cost more than others

I know I'm not the cheapest Osteopath you could choose.

But I don't run my practice like a typical high-volume clinic.

Here's what you're actually paying for when you choose to entrust your health with me.

**1. You get access to my brain beyond the treatment room**

I have an open-door policy with my patients. If you have a question after an appointment, something changes, you're unsure what to do next or you need some guidance – you can message me.

I'll respond, support you where I can and signpost you appropriately when someone or something else is better placed to help.

For me, good care doesn't suddenly stop because your appointment has finished.

**2. I deliberately limit the number of patients I take on**

I work across several clinics, but I only accept a select and limited number of patients.

This is a conscious decision.

It gives me the capacity to know my patients properly, remember the bigger picture and give each person the attention their wellbeing deserves.

I don't want you to feel like 'just' the next person on the treatment list...because honestly you are not. You are far more than a number.

**3. I understand that sometimes the difficult bit isn't knowing something is wrong – it's knowing how to get the right help**

Alongside my private osteopathic practice, I also work within the NHS. I have worked in varying roles but these give me an understanding of process and procedure. That experience gives me an understanding of healthcare from another perspective – including how services operate and how patients can approach accessing appropriate care and support.

I routinely liaise with GPs to help patients optimise their approach to obtaining care, particularly where they have potential or diagnosed connective tissue disorder.

I can't bypass NHS pathways or guarantee an outcome.

But I can help you understand your options, communicate your concerns clearly and consider where it may be appropriate to seek further support.

**4. I have particular experience with patients whose problems aren't always straightforward**

I have a specialist interest in connective tissue disorders, including hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, as well as the complexities that can accompany them.

These patients don't always arrive with one simple problem that can be treated in isolation.

Sometimes we need to look at the bigger picture.

Often treatment is appropriate.

Sometimes education, pacing or adapting what you're doing is equally useful.

And sometimes the most valuable thing I can do is recognise that you need input from somebody else and help point you in the right direction.

**5. My aim isn't to make you dependent on treatment**

I want you to understand your body and feel more confident managing it.

That means explaining what I think is happening, discussing your options and giving you realistic things you can actually use outside the clinic.

And if something isn't working, I want you to tell me.

We adapt.

Because healthcare should be a conversation, not something that's simply done *to* you.

So yes, you may find a cheaper osteopathy appointment elsewhere.

But you're not simply paying for the time you spend on the treatment table.

You're paying for my clinical experience, my attention, continuity of care, access to me between appointments and my willingness to help you navigate the bigger picture when your healthcare needs extend beyond osteopathy.

**You get me – not just an appointment slot.**
