If you’ve had your first MenB vaccine, don’t forget your second dose.

You need 2 doses, given at least 4 weeks (28 days) apart, for the best protection.

You may be eligible for the free MenB vaccine if you are:

✅ 17 to 18 years old and born between 1 September 2007 and 31 August 2008

✅ Under 25 and starting university or moving into eligible residential further education for the first time in autumn 2026

If you’ve already had your first dose, make sure you get your second.

With the hot weather, please remember to keep medications cool and out of direct sunlight. If your medicine requires refrigeration, ensure it is stored according to the instructions to maintain its safety and effectiveness.

Starting tomorrow, amber and yellow heat-health alerts have been issued across most of the country. They are in place for the 29 and 30 July.

Some people – particularly the elderly, very young, or those with existing health conditions – face a real risk to their health and need to take steps to keep cool.

The vaccine 💉is now being offered to all those heading to university for the first time this September.

Just two doses are all it takes to give you the best possible protection. 🦠🛡️

You can have the second dose four weeks after the first, and it then takes a further 2 weeks for the body to build a good level of immunity. 💪🏽
