💥Over a period of 4 weeks, this client lost muscle, gained muscle, gained fat, and lost fat but not seen here is the loss of 1.6kg in fat alone 🙌

💥Over the next 8 weeks, we should see a drop in body fat - kg and %, maintenance in muscle, and a drop in total body weight This will lower the client's visceral fat level - the key indicator of future good/ill-health.

They affect every biological process in our body. Hormones you may have heard of are:
🪄Insulin
🪄Thyroid
🪄Cortisol
🪄Testosterone
🪄Oestrogen

📌These hormones can impede weight loss.
In some instances, it's not just a case of cutting your calories and increasing your exercise.

💟Visceral fat - the fat that lies around your midriff and is an indicator of your future good/ill health.
💟Visceral fat is that which is wrapped around your organs - lungs, heart, kidneys, liver etc.
💟This fat is active and drives inflammation. Inflammation drives diseases - CVD, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, fatty liver disease, and hypertension to name a few.

🫁If you have a visceral fat score of 10 or more then you're at a higher risk of suffering from ill health in the future compared to those who have a score of 9 or less!

🍽I’ve over 350 recipes which I use to make my clients eating plans.

🥗I must admit I was dubious about this Cauliflower Chickpea Couscous. I actually haven’t used in my EPs as I thought it wouldn’t be good enough 😬

☀️However I was very pleasantly surprised. It is really yum 😅

RECIPE
1. Toast chickpeas in a wide pan on medium to high heat with a little oil and pinch of ground cinnamon for 5 minutes. Set aside.
2. Blitz a head of cauliflower so it’s broken down to look like the picture⬇️. Add to the same pan with a dash of oil on the same heat.
3. Add some ground cumin, coriander and paprika (1/2-1 teaspoon). Toss in the pan and cook for 5 minutes.
4. In a bowl add the chickpeas and cauliflower.
5. Add 4 chopped spring onions, half bunch chopped fresh parsley and a good handful of chopped almonds with skin on.
6. Throw in some salt and pepper and toss everything together 👌🏻

➡️If you are eating well throughout the week and you have regular movement in your weekly diary then don't feel bad for enjoying yourself at the weekend!🎉

➡️The important thing to remember is that you don't overdo it both days and that you recognize the 80:20 affirmation. ⬇️

📍Eating well and moving as best you can 80% of the time, but also eating your cake/takeout or whatever it is that you really want, without the guilt, without feeling bad, and without the bad habits creeping back in!

💩Irritable Bowel Syndrome, also known as IBS, affects 1 in 20 of us.
💩It's a medical term used to describe a collection of gut symptoms.
💩Food can have an impact on symptoms. Stress can also trigger IBS if you are susceptible to it.
💩An assessment for IBS should be considered if you have had any of the following symptoms for at least six months:
➡️abdominal pain or discomfort
➡️bloating
➡️or change in bowel habits.

Other features such as:
📌lethargy
📌nausea
📌backache
📌bladder symptoms are common in people with IBS and may be used to support the diagnosis.

🌟If you have had a diagnosis of IBS there are some steps to help reduce your symptoms and the frequency with which you suffer bouts of IBS.

Overindulged at the weekend. Which was very lovely. Doesn’t mean I feel I need to have salad. I just feel I need some goodness. Spinach, cucumber, sun-dried 🍅, fresh parsley, mixed seeds, olive oil and lemon with seasoning. Oh and some Parma ham!
