We were delighted to receive £226.00 recently following a raffle held by North Staffordshire Arts Society to celebrate their 40th Anniversary. Presenting the cheque to our Head of Charity, Jane, is their Chairman, Margaret Thompstone, Pam Abell (Website and Social media) and Ian Podmore (Vice Chairman). Thank you so much for your support which is very much appreciated.

*** OUR SPACE CHARITY ABSEIL 2026 ***

⭐⭐⭐ Session for Home Educated/Not In School Children and Young People with SEND ⭐⭐⭐

Our next session for Home Educated Young People with SEND, plus their parents, carers and siblings will take place this Friday, 12th June. The session will run from 1.30pm until 4.00pm.

There will be access to all our usual facilities, including our large, secure outdoor space and our soft play area. The session will be an opportunity for young people and their parents/carers and siblings to relax, socialise and meet other people.

It was certainly rather warm, but as you can see from the photos, we had lots of fun in the sun at our Family Sessions during half term!

If you would like to join us before the next holidays, here’s a reminder that this Saturday, 6th June, we have a morning Family Session (10am to 12.30pm) as well as our weekly Saturday afternoon session.

It's disco time again this Saturday, so put on your dancing shoes and come and join us for good tunes and meeting friends.

Disco is for anyone aged 16 and over with a disability. Entry is £5 and carers are free. Refreshments can be purchased.

Last week we were given a wonderful donation of £5700.00 from Newcastle-under-Lyme lions club. The money will go towards the refurbishment of our outdoor area.

The Club have been friends and supporters of Our Space since the very beginning and we are extremely grateful for all the support that we have received over the last ten years.

Our Head of Charity, Jane, is pictured receiving the cheque from Sandra Hambleton (President) and the second photo also includes Angela Mayer (from the Lions Club, on the far right) along with representatives from other worthy charities in the local area.

It has details about our sponsored abseil and how you can sign up to take part. Don't forget, if you register before the end of May, the cost is just £25 per person. There are also photos of brave supporters who have taken on the daring challenge in previous years.

MAY HALF TERM - HOLIDAY FAMILY SESSIONS

We still have places available at two of our Family Sessions during May Half Term.

All sessions will take place at our premises, The Brook Centre, in Newcastle and all need to be booked in advance.

Our Family Sessions are for children and young people with disabilities, plus their parents, carers and siblings.

Dates and times are as follows:

• Wednesday 27th May- Afternoon Family Session (for all ages- 1.30pm till 4.00pm

• Thursday 28th May - Morning Family Session (7 years and under) - 10.00am till 12.30pm
