BASRaT certified
MSc Sports Rehabilitation I have over 15 years hands on experience working as a Sports Massage Therapist.

I hold a sports degree from Durham University and I'm a Gold Member of the SMA. I trained with the APPI (Australian Physiotherapy & Pilates Institute) in both Matwork and Performance Pilates. I have worked with several sport teams as well as individual athletes from elite runners and cyclists to junior gymnasts, squash players and local harriers’ groups. With a background in Sports, I have tried m

ost things, previously playing elite level Rugby Union for over 20 years. I too have suffered my share of injuries so I have a huge amount of compassion and understanding when treating sports injuries. I offer Pilates on a one to one basis and in a class setting at various levels. My Performance Pilates classes are renowned among my patients as being challenging, supportive and focused to help improve sports performance.

With cricket and golf seasons in full swing we have seen an influx of shoulder injuries at the clinic.

Here’s a few examples of the types of rehab exercises we prescribe patients.

If you’re having shoulder issues or want to know more about common shoulder injuries check out the latest blog on the momentum website.

Schools out for the summer 🥳☀️

Last night was the last session for our runners strength groups until after the summer break.

Drop in sessions are available to those who have previously done a block over the next few weeks.

New 6 week blocks of sessions will start in September so if you’ve been thinking of adding some strength work to your program this could be just what you need.

✅ training with like minded runners (who all dislike the gym)
✅ personalised program targeting areas of weakness
✅ supervised sessions and progressions as you need them on a weekly basis
✅ great craic and some top music choices

Spaces for these sessions are very limited. Get in touch if you’d like to know more or be on the mailing list to receive the new September dates when they are released.

Nice little stroll after work yesterday ❤️

I have been trying to get outside as much as possible while the weather and light nights are around. Good for the body and soul 🧘‍♀️

I absolutely love having .rachael in the gym…even though she does give me a fair bit of stick on a weekly basis 😂

It’s been a pleasure to see her confidence grow alongside her strength gains and build her running back up so consistently.

One of the most determined and headstrong people in the group she’s an inspiration to many clients.

Keep up the good work .rachael … or I will sneak some more weights on when you’re not looking 😂

Last week I had the opportunity to be part of the Strength in Focus event, delivering workshops on strength training for runners with a focus on the female athlete.

A great couple of days at the Matrix showroom in Reading—definitely outside my clinic comfort zone, but I’m so grateful I said yes.

Loved connecting with like-minded people, sharing ideas, and having important conversations around how we can better support and improve female strength training in commercial gyms. 💪

Since the new year, I’ve been trying to be consistent & practice what I preach with my training.

I am 40+ female working full time and have 2 children. Alongside this I have a history of injures from high level sport, childbirth, caesarean, hip surgery and hormones to work around. The joys of being female!

I’m not training for a certain sport or event, just life and mental and physical health.

I spend a good chunk of my sessions “warming up” before I lift anything heavy. Focusing on hip stability, thoracic mobility and preparing my body to lift.

I superset nearly everything as I’m often short of time and don’t do a high volume of other sports these days.

I’ve learnt the hard way that I can’t just train like I used to. Accepting this was hard but my body is feeling the benefit.
