Always the sign of a good session when the room is full of busy and fun. I’m passionate about assessing under 5’s for developmental, learning, language concerns to make sure they get the right understanding and support as all the evidence tells us early intervention is key

A great opportunity to learn about this helpful tool to teach children and young people about how to manage different situations

We’re excited to be hosting our first ever Social Stories workshop!

Following feedback from families, we know that some people prefer in-person sessions, so we’re really pleased to be offering this opportunity to join us face-to-face.

Join us on Wednesday 3rd June, 10am–11:30am, where our Speech and Language Therapist, Emily Searle, will help you discover how to create and use Social Stories with your child.

Social Stories™ are short descriptions of a particular situation, event or activity that help prepare neurodivergent children and young people for new or challenging experiences.

If you’d like to attend, please visit our website to sign up: https://www.ttht.co.uk/event/social-stories-workshop/ alternatively, you can email us at [email protected] or call 0300 365 3055 to book.

A really well written piece on how girls can take longer to reach a diagnosis and the impact long term masking can have on emotional wellbeing and mental health (which affects boys too). Might be a useful read to validate some concerns for parents out there. We need better understanding from early years onwards about the subtle signs of autism but understanding that subtle doesn’t mean it’s not important.
