We’re proud to already have international-level lifters training through our doors, and with so many athletes heading to Worlds, Commonwealths, Europeans and other IPF competitions, we want to do our bit to support the community.

If you’re representing your country in the IPF, whether you’re the lifter on the platform or the coach in the corner, Alpha has you covered. 🌍

Our member Steven “Reelberg” is competing on 24th October at Parkhead & Wansbeck Powersports Club in Ashington, competing in the U93kg category. 🎥 🏋️‍♀️

He’ll be chasing the 610kg total needed to qualify for BUCS and he’s putting the work in at Alpha to make it happen.

Known around the gym as Mr Forgetful, he might forget his keys, his phone or what he’s supposed to be doing… but thankfully he hasn’t forgotten how to squat heavy. 😅

One of our own, has officially received her England team kit and is getting ready to represent her country at the 2026 Commonwealth Powerlifting Championships in Winnipeg, Canada. 🇨🇦

On 19th September, Martha will step onto the international platform and represent England and we couldn’t be any more buzzing for her. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

We’re proud to sponsor Martha’s training journey and support her as she takes this next step in her powerlifting career.

All those turning up when you don’t want too, heavy sessions, setbacks and hard work have led to this moment.

WELCOME TO THE WOLVES DEN 🐺

“Leo The Lion Heart” a 19 year old Student going for a 260kg × 2 attempt in Week 4 📈

Nothing staged, Just a raw capture of what goes on here every day.

After months of working 70+ hours while managing uni, Leo’s training took a little bit of a hit but he’s been desperate to get back to where he was.

Huge Alpha mentality in this lad. He started this session alone, and we literally walked in at the right time to help him through it 🦁

Unfortunately, the second rep got away from him… maybe we can blame the monolift? 😂

19 years old and already closing in on a 700kg total.

If you’ve been around hardcore gyms long enough, you’ll probably know by now 💪

A seriously respected bodybuilder back in the day. After a few years away from bodybuilding and stepping into the boxing ring, he’s back doing what he does best. 💪 🥊

Just 10 weeks of consistent training… and today he pressed the 70kg dumbbells.

After a weekend in London supporting the Newcastle BKFC lads, a few drinks over the weekend, it was straight back to work Monday morning and straight into the gym afterwards. No excuses. Just consistency. 📊

For those who don’t know, Craig’s best was 80kg dumbbells for 4 reps on a high incline. That tells you everything about the level he once reached.

The fact he’s already back to the 70s shows the strength is still there. An absolute powerhouse, and I’m buzzing I got to train alongside him today and help push him.

This is what happens when people train together 🤝

You don’t see enough of it these days, but that’s how hardcore gyms used to be. Training partners pushing each other, celebrating each other’s lifts, and bringing the best out of one another and having some friendly banta 🤣

Loved every minute of today’s chest session. 🐺

I genuinely don’t think Craig stops until those 80s are back in his hands.🙌

Proof that even after a pec tear, serious work can still be done. 💪
