💜 My heart breaks reading stories like this. 💜
Today, another report has revealed that hundreds of mothers and babies suffered harm or lost their lives due to failures in maternity care. Behind every number is a family whose lives have been changed forever.
As many of you know, I lost my beautiful daughter, Pandora, after repeatedly raising concerns about her reduced movements. I knew something wasn’t right, but like so many other parents, my concerns were not fully acted upon. The devastating consequence is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
No parent should have to leave a hospital without their baby. No family should have to spend their days wondering if more could have been done. No mother should feel unheard when she says she knows her baby.
Reduced movements should always be taken seriously. Parents know their babies better than anyone. Listening, investigating and acting quickly can save lives.
I share my story not for sympathy, but because change is desperately needed. Pandora mattered. Every baby mentioned in these reports mattered. Every family deserves answers, accountability and safer maternity care.
In memory of Pandora, and for all the babies gone too soon, I will continue to speak out and raise awareness.
✨ If you are pregnant and worried about your baby’s movements, please trust your instincts and seek medical advice. You are never wasting anyone’s time.
For Pandora. For every baby. For every family. 💜🦋
