Two ongoing injuries. One clear plan.

This client came in with both Achilles and tennis elbow symptoms, so we looked at the history, what may have been contributing and how we could tackle both properly rather than just chasing the sore spots and rubbing where it hurts.

Halfway through his Gold Package of Care and, in his words:

“Both areas are massively improving. Money well spent & I’m over the moon with the results & treatment so far.”

If something’s been niggling for a while, keep JST in mind!

When pain starts deciding what you can and can’t do, that’s the problem.

When Garry first came in, neck and shoulder pain was affecting work, cycling, motorbiking, driving and he had physically demanding tests ahead.

He’d already tried massage and acupuncture elsewhere, without success.

JST treatment combined hands on work with targeted rehab, with the aim of not just settling symptoms, but getting him back to doing what mattered.

And now? Back cycling. Back on the motorbike. Driving without pain.
Work tests passed!

That’s the bit that matters.

Traditional approaches had failed Garry.

If you’ve tried the usual routes and you’re still being held back by pain, it may be time for a different approach.

This is why recommendations matter.

A few weeks ago, Linda posted in a local community Facebook group asking for help after her knee replacement.

She was struggling with her bend, her confidence had taken a knock, and she thought Sports Therapy was only for sporty people.

Someone simply commented:

“This sounds like a job for Jaime.”

That one recommendation led to one enquiry.

A few weeks later, Linda handed me a handwritten card and left this wonderful Google review.

As a small business, word of mouth means everything. Not just because it helps my business grow, but because it helps people find the support they didn’t even know existed.

If you’ve ever recommended JST to a friend, neighbour, family member or colleague…

Thank you.

You never know how much that simple recommendation could change someone’s life.

One thing I always want people to know before they book:

It’s not just hands on treatment.

When you come to JST, the aim isn’t to just poke the sore bit and hope for the best.

We look at:

What’s going on
How it’s affecting your day to day life
What you actually need to get back to
What may be contributing to the problem
What treatment can help now
What exercises or changes may help longer term

Hands on treatment can be a really useful part of the process, but it works best when it sits inside a proper plan.

Because most people don’t just want to feel better for an hour.

They want to walk more comfortably.
Train with more confidence.
Sit at work without stiffening up.
Get through the week without constantly managing flare-ups.
Say yes to normal life without worrying what their body will do.

That’s what we work towards.

If you’ve been putting something off, this is your nudge to get it looked at properly.

A little reminder that treatment isn’t just for one type of issue.

Back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, calf, general stiffness, recurring niggles, bodies rarely work in neat little boxes.

Sometimes the bit that hurts is only part of the story.

Hands on treatment can help calm things down, improve movement and give your body a better chance of coping, especially when something has been grumbling for a while.

I’ve got limited appointments available this week.

Friday was spent in Huddersfield on a Master Clinician course, diving deeper into high level rehab for the lower limb and lumbar spine… in 38 degree heat 🫠

But whether I’m looking at a back, hip, knee, shoulder, neck, calf or something that feels like “a bit of everything”, the goal is always the same:

Understand what’s actually going on.

Because the bit that hurts isn’t always the only bit involved.

Hands on treatment can help calm things down, improve movement, and give your body a better chance of coping but the bigger picture matters too.

How you move.
What you need to get back to.
What keeps flaring.
What’s stopping you from enjoying normal life without constantly factoring your body in.

If something has been grumbling for a while, this is your nudge to stop putting it off.

I have limited appointments available this week.

Summer is supposed to make life feel a bit bigger.

More walks.
More garden time.
More training.
More plans.
More saying yes because the weather is finally decent.

But that feels very different when your body is the thing you have to keep factoring in.

Will my back cope?
Will my knee be worse tomorrow?
Can I manage the walk?
Will training set my shoulder off?
Am I going to pay for this later?

That quiet calculation can be exhausting.

And it’s usually the point where people start making life smaller without really noticing.

Choosing the shorter walk.
Skipping the session.
Avoiding the thing they actually wanted to do.
Waiting until it’s “bad enough” to get help.

It doesn’t have to be dramatic to be worth addressing.

If your body is already affecting how much you say yes to this summer, that matters.

I have appointments available tomorrow, Wednesday 24th June.

Father’s Day can be a difficult one.

I lost my dad 12 years ago, and even now, days like today can still feel heavy.

I miss his laugh, his encouragement, and the way he made me feel like I could get on with things, even when life wasn’t easy.

He gave me an amazing foundation, and so much of who I am now comes from him, headstrong, driven, motivated, and probably more stubborn than is always helpful.

I still get angry that he’s not here. I still have memories that hit me out of nowhere and take the wind out of me.

But before he died, he told me to live my life. He told me he’d had a great life.

So that’s what I try to do. I crack on, keep going, keep building, and try to do work that means something.

Sending love today to anyone who finds Father’s Day difficult, complicated, or not quite as simple as the cards and adverts make it look.

Still telling yourself it’ll probably settle by next week?

Sometimes it does.

But if that same ache, stiffness, injury or “niggle” keeps showing up every time you train, sit too long, garden, run, lift, drive, or try to get back into routine… it’s worth looking at properly.

At JST, your appointment is designed to help you understand what’s actually going on, not just where it hurts, but why it’s still hanging around.

From there, we can map out what needs to happen next, whether that’s treatment, rehab, a structured plan, or simply better direction than “rest it and hope.”

I have appointments available next week for people who are ready to get started.

If you’ve been putting it off, this is your nudge.
