This Wednesday marks ONE WHOLE YEAR since I had my gastric bypass surgery ❤️
I’m now a hair’s breadth away from losing 9 STONE 🤯
And yes… I jumped on the AI photo bandwagon 😂 The truth is, I really don’t have many full-length photos of myself at my biggest. I avoided the camera wherever possible I just don’t do full length photos , so seeing a visual representation of just how far I’ve come feels quite emotional.
I still have a way to go, but I’m in absolutely no rush. My goal has always been to reach my target by two years post-gastric bypass, and I’m happy taking it at my own pace.
Because the biggest wins haven’t just been on the scales. ❤️
🌸I can walk with ease
🌸I can touch my toes
🌸 I can fit comfortably in the bath
🌸 I can buy clothes from most high-street shops now
🌸My blood pressure and cholesterol are now normal
🌸My PCOS symptoms have settled and my periods are regular
🌸I can fit comfortably in an aeroplane seat
🌸I don’t obsess over food as much anymore
🌸I have much better self-esteem and respect for myself
🌸I have so much more energy for everyday life
🌸 I feel more confident travelling, going out and trying new things
🌸 Everyday tasks that once felt difficult are becoming completely normal again
Nearly 9 stone gone in a year — but what I’ve gained in confidence, mobility and quality of life means so much more than the number on the scales.
One year down, a lifetime ahead. ❤️
