The Beauty Product Making workshop has a goody bag….

And it's not one of those goody bags containing three leaflets, a pen and something you don't know what to do with.

You'll be taking home the things you make during the evening, plus a couple of other surprises,

AND we're putting a voucher in for the shop so you can come back and get ingredients to make more of your own beauty products at home.

because you don't need cupboards full of expensive products to look after your skin.

A surprising amount can be done with really simple ingredients, many of which you probably already have.

Although obviously we are also very happy to provide the ones you don't.....

The Beauty Product Making workshop isn't going to be a case of everybody making exactly the same thing whether it suits their skin or not.

Before the evening we'll ask you for any skin concerns and allergies, and Linda and Clare will tailor the options accordingly.

So, for example, there'll be several different face masks to choose from, including something soothing and hydrating and something for the morning-after-the-night-before sort of skin....

The other things we're making will have different ingredient options too.

We'll also be talking about what those ingredients actually DO, so when you go home you can make things again rather than having to remember an impossibly complicated recipe involving seventeen ingredients you've never heard of.

Simple, useful and affordable is very much the point.

When these come in, you know there's a change of season afoot!

We have a Beauty Product Making workshop coming up in a few weeks with Linda and Clare, and this one is going to be a cracker!

The whole idea is homemade beauty routines that don't cost a fortune and use ingredients that are either already sitting in your kitchen cupboards, or are very easy to get hold of.

We'll be making things including lip scrubs, bath bags and face masks, talking about things like why toner actually matters, and looking at different ingredients for different skin concerns.

And it won't be one face mask fits all either.

There'll be different options depending on whether your skin needs soothing, hydrating, rescuing after a rather late night.....you get the idea!

We will be asking everyone attending about skin concerns and allergies beforehand so Linda & Clare can make sure there are suitable options for you.

And there is a goody bag too.

We are open Bank Holiday Monday so you can get your daily Crwst fix, but it'll go quickly, so either pop in or call to reserve a loaf.

We'll shut sometime after lunch as we have a celebration gathering in the cafe'.

It's looking pretty atrocious for tomorrow (heavy rain) but will hopefully be dry Monday.

It's proper Bank Holiday weather, but don't let that stop you enjoying it, and Aberjazz in Fishguard, even if you can't pop in to see us!

And you know what a micro climate it is here, so it could be amazing, you never can tell...

What better way to remember someone, a milestone or an anniversary than to make bunting out of material from that time?

It could be something you've kept because you couldn't quite bring yourself to part with it, a piece of fabric that reminds you of someone, or simply something from a time in your life that you'd like to see rather than have tucked away in a drawer.

Carys will help you if you're new to this, and regale you with stories and laughter throughout the process.

We'll be making a 6 or 8 flag string that you can continue at home too.

The workshop is tomorrow — Wednesday 26th August, 10 am — 2 pm.

If you'd like to join us, pop into the shop or call 01239 820 773 to book your place.

Bet you didn't know that bunting originally referred to the fabric used for the flags, rather than the string of decorative triangles we know and use now.

So the fabric you choose is actually quite a big part of the fun.

Maybe you want every triangle to be different. Maybe you want them all to match. You could even choose fabrics or colours to spell out a message or make something for someone specific.

We'll be making a string of 6 or 8 flags during the workshop with Carys.

We actually had a trial run ourselves and made some beautiful bunting which we put up in the shop over Eisteddfod week. Every flag was different, using a real mixture of fabrics, and we had so much fun making it — and learned a fair bit along the way too!

So we'd be delighted if you joined us on Wednesday 26th August, 10 am — 2 pm, and made your own.

Pop into the shop or call 01239 820 773 to book your place.
