One of the most powerful experiences from our recent retreat at La Maison du Loup was the Cacao Ceremony and Soma Breathwork session led by Nik.
The setting couldn't have been more perfect. "La Maison du Loup" translates to "The House of the Wolf," and Nik beautifully wove the symbolism of the wolf throughout the breathwork journey.
In nature, wolves thrive because they are part of a pack. They support one another, protect one another, and move through life together. The breathwork invited us to reflect on what it means to be part of our own pack β to remember that we are not meant to navigate life's challenges alone.
This resonated deeply with me because it's something I see every week within our yoga community. Whether it's pregnancy yoga, mummy & baby yoga, chair yoga, classic yoga, retreats, or workshops, there is something incredibly healing about being surrounded by people who understand, encourage, and support you.
For those who are unfamiliar, Soma Breathwork combines conscious breathing techniques, rhythm, visualisation and music to help shift your physical, emotional and mental state. It can help reduce stress, improve mental clarity, increase energy, release stored emotions, and create a deeper sense of connection to yourself and those around you.
As we breathed together, moved together, and shared the experience as a group, there was a real sense of belonging. A reminder that we all need connection. We all need support. We all need a pack.
Thank you, Nik , for holding such a powerful and meaningful session, and thank you to everyone who shared the experience with such openness and trust. πΊ
