🌿 Did you know not all lavender is the same?
Lavender is incredibly versatile, great for relaxation, sleep, skin, and emotional balance. But there are many different types, each with its own special qualities!
✨ Here are the key varieties explained:
🌸 True Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
The classic, gentle, calming type. Amazing for stress relief, sleep, and soothing skin. One of the safest essential oils and can even be used undiluted.
🌿 Spike Lavender (Lavandula latifolia)
More stimulating, richer in cineole and camphor. Great for respiratory support and muscle tension.
💜 Lavender Stoechas (Lavandula stoechas)
A powerful type with a very different chemistry. Should be used with guidance due to high ketone levels.
🌱 Lavandin ( Lavandula Hybrida)
A hybrid of True Lavender and Spike Lavender. Easier to grow, higher oil yield, more affordable, often used in soaps, candles, and everyday blends, yet still very helpful!
Lavender isn’t just one plant, it’s a whole family with beautiful diversity. Choosing the right type can help you get the best aromatherapy benefits.
