Following recent feedback from the surgery, we understand that many patients have been frustrated when trying to secure a GP appointment.
In response, we have updated our care navigation training for the reception team to help ensure that everyday ailments and specialist queries are directed to the most appropriate healthcare professional. As a result, you may notice that our team asks more questions when you call. This is to help us better understand your needs and ensure you are seen or spoken to by the right person as quickly as possible. By directing patients to the most suitable healthcare professional, this will also help improve access to GP appointments for those who need them most.
We are also very pleased to share that all other feedback we received was positive. We wanted to keep you, our patients, informed about the changes we are making as we continue working to improve our service and provide the best healthcare possible.
