Did we mention we have more than one employee nominated for Best Employee at the Ards Business Awards tonight?

The word is out about Kale Bell, our Warehouse Supervisor.

Kale joined Stairlift Solutions NI in 2021 as a teenage apprentice. Since then, he has grown into a confident, trusted and highly skilled Warehouse Supervisor.

Today, Kale manages our entire warehouse operation, making sure deliveries, stock, equipment and stairlifts are organised and ready for our engineers to install across Northern Ireland. On busy days, he can prepare up to 10 stairlifts while keeping the warehouse running smoothly.

His work plays a huge role in helping us deliver fast installations, often within 48 hours, and maintain the high level of service our customers rely on.
Kale has also taken another big step in his journey by mentoring his own apprentice, helping to train and support the next generation within the business.

Whether he is helping in the warehouse, supporting the showroom, assisting engineers or stepping in wherever needed, Kale always brings a positive attitude and a “nothing is too much trouble” approach.

From apprentice to supervisor, Kale’s progress has been exceptional. His work ethic, personality, leadership and commitment make him a brilliant part of the Stairlift Solutions NI team.

We’re incredibly proud to share that James Dowling has been nominated for Best Employee at the Ards Business Awards.

James’ journey with Stairlift Solutions NI started when he was just 13, working alongside our founder Ken Wallace as a part-time helper. More than a decade later, he is now our General Manager and one of the most trusted, knowledgeable and respected members of our team.

From training and mentoring engineers to supporting customers directly, James has played a huge role in helping Stairlift Solutions NI grow while keeping our family values at the heart of everything we do.

His commitment was especially clear during COVID, when he helped keep the business running as an essential healthcare provider, making sure vulnerable customers across Northern Ireland still received the help they needed.

Customers know James for his patience, kindness, technical knowledge and willingness to go the extra mile. The team know him as a leader, a role model and someone who genuinely cares.

James was highly commended at the 2025 awards. This year, we would love to see him take home the Best Employee Award.
