Little sips can make a big difference. 💧

Keeping hydrated helps children feel well, especially in warmer weather, after activity, or when they’ve been unwell.
Water or diluted sugar-free squash are good choices. Children may need extra fluids when it’s hot, when they’re sweating, or if they have sickness or diarrhoea.

Signs of dehydration can include feeling thirsty, dry mouth or lips, dark yellow strong-smelling p*e, p*eing less than usual, dizziness, tiredness or headache.

The HPV vaccine is saving lives.

New research shows that deaths from cervical cancer have fallen significantly since the HPV vaccination programme was introduced in 2008. The vaccine helps protect against HPV-related cancers and is offered to both girls and boys during their teenage years.

Read more in the article below ⬇️

The HPV vaccine is saving lives.

New research by Queen Mary University of London and Cancer Research UK shows deaths have fallen sharply since school-age girls began being offered it in 2008, and around 200 lives have been saved in England so far thanks to the vaccine.

The vaccine protects against high-risk HPV, a virus that can lead to cervical cancer and some other cancers.

Both girls and boys can get protection from high-risk HPV by having the HPV vaccination in their teenage years. It not only protects against cervical cancer, but other types of cancer too.

You can help protect your child by giving consent for them to have their vaccination when invited.

And remember: cervical screening is still important, even if you’ve had the HPV vaccine.

Happy Father’s Day 💙

Today we’re celebrating dads, stepdads, foster dads, uncles, grandads, carers and all the father figures who show up with love, care and support.

We also know that Father’s Day can feel difficult for some — for those missing someone special, those who may not have a father figure around, or those for whom today brings mixed emotions. We’re sending you kindness too.

Thank you to all the father figures for the little things that mean so much.
Know someone who deserves a Father’s Day thank you? Share this with them 💙
