Hero of the Month – Wild Rosehip Moisturising SPF 30

This month’s Neal’s Yard Remedies Hero Product is one your skin will absolutely love — and it’s 15% off all June.

The Wild Rosehip Moisturising SPF 30 blends organic wild rosehip, shea butter and baobab oil to protect, hydrate and nourish. It’s clinically proven, high‑protection, and perfect for summer days when your skin needs both moisture and defence.

Ideal for:
• everyday sun protection
• keeping skin soft, smooth and radiant
• a natural, gentle SPF option for all skin types

On a more personal note…
This is one we genuinely use ourselves. It’s light, non‑greasy and sits beautifully under makeup or on bare skin. The rosehip gives it that soft, comforting feel, and it’s become a daily go‑to , especially on those brighter East Yorkshire days when you’re in and out of the garden, walking, or just living life. It’s one of those products that quietly earns its place on the shelf.

Moments of Calm on a Summer’s Day

Taking a little time out in the garden today, basking in the shade on this glorious day and slowing things down with some meaningful poetry.

I’ve been reading Slip Away by the incredibly talented (Patrick McLaverty), also my EFT sparring partner and it truly is a soulful, thought-provoking collection.

There’s something so special about pairing nature, stillness, and words that really speak from the heart 💚

Even more meaningful is knowing that a percentage of the book’s sales goes to the charity Start360, supporting vital work that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

If you’re looking for a moment of reflection, I’d definitely recommend giving it a read.

Why does your nose feel blocked when you’re lying face down during a massage?

Let’s talk anatomy

Inside the nose are structures called turbinates soft, sponge‑like tissue rich in blood vessels. Their job is to warm, humidify, and filter the air you breathe.
When you’re upright, gravity helps blood drain away from these tissues.

When you lie prone (face down), gravity changes blood naturally pools in the nasal lining, causing the turbinates to swell slightly. As they swell, the space for airflow narrows, which can make breathing through the nose feel congested.

Relaxation plays a role too. During massage, the nervous system shifts into a parasympathetic “rest and digest” state, which encourages blood vessel dilation and increased nasal tissue volume. This is a normal physiological response not a problem.

Key things to know: •

This is called positional nasal congestion

• It can happen even in people without allergies or sinus issues
• It’s usually temporary and position‑related (laid face down)
• Small adjustments can improve comfort

If your nose feels blocked during a session, please say something or move to a more comfortable position - comfort includes breathing well.

- Breathing techniques to settle the nervous system
- Light movement and stretches to release tension
- An EFT (Tapping) sequence to ease stress
