If you’ve been looking at Baby Yoga and wondering whether it’s for you, wonder no more! Here are some things parents have asked me before coming….
1️⃣ “I’m not a yogi…”
You don’t need to have ever stepped on a yoga mat!
This isn’t postnatal yoga. There’s no prior experience required. We weave in a couple of stretches for mums but think gentle stretches rather than downward dog (and the main focus is on your baby!)
Baby Yoga is all about gentle, guided movement for your baby, combined with songs, sensory play, and plenty of fun (which is every bit as lovely as it sounds).
2️⃣ “Does it benefit my baby in the same way massage does?”
Absolutely — just in a different way.
Baby Yoga supports:
✨ Strength, coordination, and body awareness
✨ Movement milestones such as rolling, reaching, and crawling
✨ Digestion and emotional regulation
✨ Confidence as babies learn to move and explore their world
It’s also rooted in research showing that movement and responsive play in the first year can support brain development, learning, and regulation.
3️⃣ “Who is it best suited for?”
This is an important one.
Baby Yoga is ideal for babies from around 12 weeks until crawling — that wonderful stage when they’re becoming more curious, more active, and ready to engage with the world around them.
My classes help babies build confidence in their bodies and surroundings, while giving you lots of new ways to connect, play, and interact together at home.
4️⃣ What do parents say?
💬 “We do the foot taps and songs everyday. My little one loves them”
💬 “My baby is so calm and happy throughout the class and I look forward to it every week”.
💬 “We have learnt lots of amazing stretching techniques that we use outside of the classes”
💬 “Such a fun and relaxed class — we absolutely love it!”
If you’ve been thinking about giving it a try, consider this your sign.
