I’ve had a fair few new followers lately (especially on the old facey book) so I thought the obligatory reintroduction was due.

I’m Aimee 👋 Lover of all things massage, birth education and making women feel as wonderful as they deserve!

I have recently become solely self-employed after leaving my NHS role as a midwife. Onwards and upwards with my holistic therapies in my beautiful garden pod. I have a special interest in pregnancy therapies with my background and like to believe I’m pretty good at it 😂 I don’t think I will ever really take off my midwifery hat.

Being medically trained, my services have a theme of health. If you’re looking for a spa day treatment, you’re probs in the wrong place! I believe that complementary therapies can be a fantastic alternative approach to medicine, but can just as nicely work alongside medical care to complement and enhance it. I always like to try and fix someone and love learning the evidence behind things, treating everyone as an individual and using my intuition.

Personally, I love to exercise, eat gorgeous food, binge a tv drama and spend time with my family, friends and 2 little doggies.

Give me a like to say hi 👋

There’s no better compliment than being recommended by someone 🧡

Word of mouth means so much to me as a holistic therapist. When you tell your friends, family, or colleagues about your experience, you’re not just recommending a massage — you’re sharing a space where they can feel supported, relaxed, and cared for, as well as making a small business grow.

Every “you need to go and see her” makes me so happy 🫶

Keep telling your people - I’ll take good care of them 🤎

25/8/26. My last shift as a midwife employed by an NHS Trust. This job is not for the faint hearted but absolutely no regrets in training to become a midwife 10 years ago. 22 years of continuous service in the NHS, now that makes me feel oooooold!!!!

Delivering babies in a birth centre never gets old, but after so many long shifts, missed family time, amazing experiences, big emotions, and countless memories, it’s time to close this chapter. The Friarage has always felt like coming home, the place I had my own babies 👶👶

Being a midwife has been more than a job — it has been an absolute privilege to support women and families through some of the most precious, vulnerable and life-changing moments of their lives. In more recent years this job has become increasingly challenging, but I’ll forever be grateful for the babies I’ve helped welcome, the families I’ve supported, and the incredible colleagues and mentors who have shared this journey with me, that I can call my friends.

Thanks ladies for the beautiful flowers, you are all just the BEST 😘 Not farewell, just bye for now ☺️

The ‘Forward Leaning Inversion’

FLI is a fantastic biomechanics technique aimed to aid an optimal position for baby ready for birth, which can avoid intervention and medicalisation further down the line.

By essentially hanging the uterus upside down, it stretches the uterine ligaments that may be twisted and tight, creating more space in the lower uterus, therefore more space for baby to navigate the room it has.

Lower down onto forearms from a low sofa. Ensure the head is relaxed and the neck is long. Straighten the lower back. Stay here for around 30 and remember to breathe. Aim for 3 slow deep breaths. When coming up, move slow and kneel up on your knees for another 30 seconds allowing baby to sink into an optimal position with more space.

This is a go to manoeuvre for assisting a breech baby into a head down position but useful for the majority of pregnant women.

🚨 Do not attempt if you have:

~ Raised blood pressure
~ Glaucoma
~ Polyhydramnios (Excessive amniotic fluid volume)

Save this for your birth prep
