🐾 WHEN APPEARANCE COMES BEFORE WELFARE
Sir David Attenborough once raised an important concern about breeding dogs for exaggerated physical features—and his words remain just as relevant today.
Flat-faced breeds such as French Bulldogs, Pugs and English Bulldogs can be wonderful, affectionate companions. Sadly, some experience difficulties with breathing, exercise, sleeping and regulating their temperature because of the shape they have been bred to have.
This isn’t about blaming owners who love and care for these dogs. It’s about raising awareness, recognising when a dog may be struggling and encouraging healthier, more responsible breeding choices for future generations.
Every dog deserves the opportunity to breathe freely, play comfortably and enjoy a happy, active life. Health must always come before fashion. ❤️🐶
