I'm excited to share that my hair and beauty business has a fresh new identity — Wild Bloom with Annie!

I've been working behind the scenes to create a more personal, sensory-aware and neurodivergent-positive hair, beauty and self-care experience, focusing on the treatments I love offering.

All future updates, treatment information and booking announcements will be shared on my new page.

I'm so excited to finally share something I've been working on behind the scenes!

Wild Bloom with Annie is my little home-based hair, beauty and self-care space in Northallerton, and it's something I've wanted to create for a long time.

This new chapter is about finally creating the business I've always wanted. Doing what I genuinely love and enjoy, focusing on the treatments and experiences I'm passionate about, and creating a space that feels truly me. 🌸

Wild Bloom is a proudly sensory-aware and neurodivergent-positive space, where individuality is celebrated and everyone is welcome.

Whether you prefer a quiet appointment, minimal conversation, clear explanations, time to settle in or little breaks along the way, your comfort matters.

There's no pressure to mask, force conversation or be anything other than yourself. 🤎

From beautiful nails, brows and lashes to natural curls, relaxing hand and foot rituals, and guided skincare discovery experiences, I've carefully chosen services that I genuinely love offering.

You'll also discover Little Bloom, with gentle hair and nail treatments for children and teens, and Bloom Together, offering shared self-care experiences for friends and family. 🌸

My hope is that Wild Bloom becomes more than somewhere to have your hair or nails done.

Somewhere you feel listened to, comfortable, understood and free to enjoy a little time just for you.

🌸 Something new is beginning to Bloom… 🌸

I’m really excited to properly introduce NeuroNest Bloom — my sensory-considerate hair & beauty business.

Through my experience in hair and beauty, my own experiences, William’s experiences and everything
I’ve learned through NeuroNest, I’ve become increasingly aware of just how difficult traditional hair and beauty appointments can be for neurodivergent and sensory-sensitive people.

The noise. The smells. Being touched. Sitting still. Small talk. Not knowing what’s happening next. Feeling rushed. Sometimes simply being expected to put up with it because that’s how appointments normally work.

Bloom is about doing things differently. 🌿

I want appointments to be able to adapt around the individual — whether that means less conversation, explaining things before I do them, taking breaks, headphones, considering fragrance sensitivities or simply allowing more time.

There isn't one version of a sensory-considerate appointment, because everybody's needs are different.

🌸 A little note about NeuroNest Bloom & NeuroNest North Yorkshire

Although they share the NeuroNest name and the same values around neurodiversity, inclusion and wellbeing,
NeuroNest Bloom is my own separate hair & beauty business.
It operates independently from NeuroNest North Yorkshire and its community activities and funds.

I want to be completely transparent about that from the beginning. 💗

Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing much more about Bloom, what I’m developing and what you can expect from an appointment.

Because looking after yourself should feel good — not something you have to endure. 🌸

You may have noticed things are looking a little different around here…

But this isn't goodbye to everything you already know and love. Hair, beauty and those calm, one-to-one appointments are very much staying. ✂️🤍

Instead, Bloom has grown.

Over the past few months, NeuroNest has become such a huge part of my life and I've realised that the two were never really separate.

The same things have always mattered to me — creating a calm environment, doing things differently when someone needs it, taking away pressure and helping people feel comfortable just as they are.

So Bloom has found its home within the NeuroNest woodland. 🌳

Avella Bloom was built from a dream of creating more than just beauty appointments. I wanted to create a warm, safe space where people can fully relax, unmask, feel understood and leave feeling like themselves again.

From curl-friendly hair services to nails, brows, cosy conversations, candles, coffee and calm energy — every part of this space is designed intentionally.

Alongside beauty, my journey has also led me towards advocating for neurodivergent-friendly spaces, slow living, self-expression and creating comfort in the little things 🌿

You’ll usually find me surrounded by cosy blankets, curly hair, notebooks, crystals, coffee cups and cats 🐾✨

Thank you for being here whilst I build this next chapter of Avella Bloom with all of you. Honestly… this feels like the most me version of myself I’ve ever created. 🤍

What started as “just an idea” is becoming something really special ♾️💜

This sensory field is being created as a calm, inclusive outdoor safe space for:
💜 autistic individuals
💜 SEND families
💜 people with sensory needs
💜 adults needing quiet spaces
💜 carers, support workers & community groups

Saturday’s open day is a chance to come and experience the space, meet the people involved and see the vision behind Autism Support Allies 🌿

There’ll be:

✨ calm outdoor space
✨ wellbeing & community support
✨ local small businesses
✨ refreshments
✨ space to walk, regulate, connect or simply just be yourself
