This week's Thank You Thursday is dedicated to Samone Cupper, who raised an incredible £1,623 for Northamptonshire Health Charity, with thanks to Centenary Wing for their incredible work.

After seeing first-hand the compassionate care her mum received during gruelling chemotherapy treatment, Samone wanted to give something back to the community, that meant so much to her family.

"The wonderful, caring staff at Centenary Ward really looked after my mum. Despite gruelling chemotherapy sessions, she would always tell me how lovely and kind the nurses and volunteers were. This made a huge difference to her weekly visits to the ward.

I really wanted to do something to show my immense gratitude, so I decided to complete a sponsored run. The training was hard some days, but the strength of my mum completing her treatment spurred me on.

My best friend ran alongside me and we completed it on one of the hottest days. Even my two children joined us for part of the 10km! It meant a lot to me to raise money for this wonderful ward, and I owe a huge thanks to all our friends and family for supporting me."

Thank you, Samone, for your amazing determination and kindness. Your fundraising will help us continue supporting patients and their families at Centenary Wing.
