Huge congratulations to Kim who has recently been signed off as a solo responder 🎉🎉🎉

Kim shared the following about her first few months responding ~ “get out of your comfort zone’’ they say - certainly achieved that! Thank you to all those who helped and inspired me during my period of training to become a community first responder. I hope I am able to reach the same levels of kindness, patience & expertise they all demonstrated”

Nuala, her mentor added ~ “Such great news that Kim has been signed off. We’re lucky to have Kim joining us responding in her local community and the wider Northamptonshire area. She is especially lovely with patients and eager to learn more on each shift.
Kim has lots of experience in other fields that we will all learn from too. All the best with the rest of your CFR journey”

Kim will now support her local area of Blakesley.

Another incredible month of supporting East Midlands Ambulance Service and our local communities.

Every call is an opportunity to make a difference, and every hour volunteered helps us be there when people need us most.

A huge thank you to every member of our team for your dedication, commitment and continued support.

Another great monthly training night for the team! This month our trainers Lee and Steve refreshed us on diabetic emergencies and seizures, looking at how to recognise, assess and manage these situations effectively in an emergency.

It was also lovely to welcome and some of our new recruits, as well as share experiences, knowledge and learn from each other.

Always a great opportunity to refresh our skills, build confidence and support one another as a team.

There was entertainment for everyone, including a fantastic falconry display, dog show, live music, classic and vintage vehicles, circus tricks and much more. 🎪🐕🦅🎶🚗

💙 A HUGE THANK YOU! 💙

We’d love to thank you in person, but unfortunately no name was included with the delivery! 🥹

The battery holders are going to be super useful in our kit bags, and the Bravery Award stickers will be given to our Level 3 Responders when they attend a paediatric patient. 👏🚑

Your thoughtful donation will make a real difference to our responders and the children they attend. 💙

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! 🙏

Huge congratulations to Ryan and Nathan who passed their level 2 course this weekend.

Once signed off as solo responders they’ll provide cover for East Midlands Ambulance Service where we currently don’t have a responder; Gayton and Briar Hill.

July was another busy month for our team supporting East Midlands Ambulance Service.

Behind every hour is an incredible volunteer giving their own time to help someone in need.

Our team balances volunteering alongside their other commitments, continuing to make themselves available for a minimum of 16 hours a month.

We’re still looking for new responders in Potterspury, Long Buckby and Hackleton. If you live in these villages please do get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
