This tiny skin tag had been annoying my client for years, but the treatment itself took just moments.

COULD YOU BE B12 DEFICIENT AND NOT EVEN KNOW IT? 💉

An interesting article featuring TV doctor Dr Mark Porter has highlighted just how easily Vitamin B12 deficiency can be overlooked — with symptoms sometimes developing gradually and being mistaken for simply feeling tired, stressed or run down.

Vitamin B12 plays an essential role in red blood cell production and the healthy functioning of the brain and nervous system.

Some of the signs associated with B12 deficiency can include:

✨ Unexplained tiredness or lack of energy
🧠 Memory problems or “brain fog”
⚡ Pins and needles or numbness
💪 Weakness
👅 A sore or inflamed tongue
👁️ Unexplained changes in vision
😮‍💨 Anaemia or breathlessness
⚖️ Balance or mobility problems

And importantly, B12 deficiency should not be ruled out simply because you aren’t anaemic.

There are many reasons someone may become deficient. Sometimes it is dietary, but in other cases the problem is that the body isn’t absorbing B12 effectively.

A little reminder while we’re all enjoying the sunshine, please keep an eye on your skin.

Sun exposure over time can affect the skin, so it’s always worth getting into the habit of checking your moles and any marks that may have changed. Things to look out for include changes in size, shape, colour, texture, itching, bleeding or anything new that just doesn’t feel quite right.

At Cheshire Wellness Hub, I offer a mole checking service for peace of mind. The appointment is simple and your images are reviewed by a registered consultant dermatologist, with results usually back within 24 hours.

It’s a really worthwhile part of looking after yourself, especially during the summer months.
Please remember to use SPF, reapply regularly and avoid sitting in direct sun for too long. If you ever have an urgent concern or notice a significant change, always speak to your GP.
