The countdown is on, in just 1 month, Team DSC will be tackling the Cheshire Inflatable 2.5K!

Get ready for giant inflatables, epic slides, bouncy obstacles and lots of laughter along the way. Whether you're running, walking, bouncing or simply trying to stay upright, it's guaranteed to be a fantastic morning of fun!
💙 We still have Team DSC places available for members, parents, carers, family members and friends.

Life Skills in Action at Thrive
It's been a busy week for our Thrive members!
From shopping for ingredients and practising paying at the checkout, to choosing what to make for lunch and preparing it themselves, our members have been building confidence and independence every step of the way.

We've also been getting creative by making suet balls for the birds in our outdoor area and baking some delicious cupcakes!

The everyday skills we practise at Thrive help our members gain confidence, make choices, and enjoy greater independence, all while having lots of fun along the way.

We're so proud of everything they've achieved this week.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Charity Golf Day and helped make it such a fantastic success.
From the first tee-off to the final putt, it was wonderful to see so many teams enjoying the day, sharing plenty of laughs, and supporting such an important cause.

What a fantastic achievement!

A huge congratulations to our Cookery Club members, who have been busy growing, harvesting, preparing and enjoying their very own fresh produce from our new outdoor space.
From planting seeds and caring for the garden to picking fresh salad ingredients and creating a delicious meal together, our members continue to impress us every week with their enthusiasm, teamwork and growing independence. We are so proud of everything they achieve!

These wonderful photos capture just a small part of the journey from garden to plate, and the smiles say it all.

If you know a young person who would enjoy learning new cooking skills, making friends and building confidence in a supportive environment, we'd love to welcome them to Cookery Club.

Looking for a friendly place to enjoy a coffee, a bite to eat, and great company?

Come along to our next Communi-Tea Café on Monday 15th June, hosted by members of our amazing Thrive Club Day Service.

⚽ What a fantastic way to end our 2025/26 football season! Last weekend, we celebrated all of our amazing players and their achievements throughout the year. Thank you to everyone who has supported our sessions.

📅 Our football sessions will recommence on Sunday 27th September 2026 at Egerton Football Club Sports Hall, Knutsford, WA16 6SL.
⏰ Session Times:
Session 1 (Ages 6–12): 9:30am – 10:15am
Session 2 (Ages 13+): 10:30am – 11:30am
Players will enjoy fun football activities led by FA-qualified coaches, focusing on dribbling, passing, shooting, and plenty of games in a supportive and inclusive environment.
💷 Cost: £5 per person, per session

The Thrive club members had an amazing time at Chester Zoo recently, from exploring different habitats and spotting incredible animals to spending time with friends and building confidence, our members had a fantastic day full of fun, learning, and new experiences.

As another academic year comes to an end, many families may be wondering what comes next for their young person. If you have a family member with a learning need, autism, or Down syndrome who is leaving education and looking for their next step, THRIVE could be the perfect place for them.

Our THRIVE sessions offer meaningful opportunities to learn new skills, make friends, gain confidence, and be part of a welcoming community that celebrates every individual's strengths and potential.

Whether it's cooking, creative activities, community outings, life skills, wellbeing sessions, or simply having fun with friends, we support our members to continue learning and thriving beyond education.

This summer, Sophie and her daughter, one of our amazing young adult members, are taking on the Cheshire Inflatable 2.5K, a day of running, jumping, sliding, bouncing and plenty of laughs along the way!

They're aiming to raise £250 for Down Syndrome Cheshire, helping us continue to provide activities, support and opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome and their families across Cheshire.
