Who’s up for a fun-filled family day? 🐞

Join us on Saturday 3rd October from 1pm to 3pm for our Beetle Drive Fundraiser at APS!

A Beetle Drive is a fun and easy game where players roll dice to complete a beetle drawing, making it perfect for all ages. Whether you're joining with family, friends, or coming along for the first time, it's sure to be an afternoon full of laughter and friendly competition.

We're especially grateful to our amazing members Freya and Emma, who are organising and running the event.

There will also be a cake sale and tombola, with all proceeds helping APS continue to support children, young people and families.

Not every family will be posting a school photo this September... and that's okay.

For some families, the return to school brings worry, stress and uncertainty rather than excitement.

If your child is struggling with school attendance, finding education overwhelming, or not currently able to access school, you're not alone.

🌙 Community Lounge starts tonight!

We're excited to welcome everyone to the very first Community Lounge Evening Session tonight 6pm - 9pm at The White Barn, Cuddington, Northwich, CW8 2LD.

Open to neurodiverse adults and adults with additional needs, Community Lounge is a relaxed and welcoming space to meet new people, catch up with friends and enjoy an evening out!

Places are free, but booking is required. If you'd like to join us, there's still time to book:

Sessions will then rotate between Ellesmere Port, Warrington and Northwich. Please note that transport is not provided and anyone requiring 1:1 support should attend with their own support person.

Looking to meet new people and enjoy a friendly evening out?

Our friends at Petty Pool In The Community are launching their new Community Lounge evening sessions, offering neurodiverse adults and adults with additional needs the chance to socialise, make new friends and connect with others in their local community.

Sessions are from 6pm-9pm and rotate weekly between Northwich, Ellesmere Port and Warrington. Come along with friends or attend on your own. Everyone is welcome! If you require 1:1 support, you will need to bring your support person with you.

What an adventure we've had 🌿🌲

Today is our final HAF Holiday Club session at Delamere Forest, bringing an end to a summer packed with adventure, friendship and fun in the great outdoors.

Over the past few weeks, our young people have taken part in den building, team games, foraging, woodland crafts and much more, while building confidence, developing new skills and creating memories.

A special thank you to the fantastic team at Venturewood - Formerly Petty Pool Outdoor Education Centre and our amazing APS staff for their support and hard work over the Summer.

We’re also so grateful to Cheshire HAF, the Department for Education, Cheshire West and Chester Council, and Edsential for making these opportunities possible.

We've loved every minute! 🍃💚

Movie Time! 🎬

Join us for a relaxed cinema screening of Minions and Monsters at Chester Storyhouse on Monday 31st August, 6pm-7.30pm. There will be no trailers or adverts before the film, creating a more comfortable and accessible cinema experience, designed specifically for Autistic individuals and their families.

ND Directed is running a free Adult ADHD Course in Winsford, starting this September. The course offers a supportive environment to explore ADHD, build self-understanding, and develop tools to help with daily challenges.

Sessions available now!

Funded by Active Cheshire and Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Active Futures is a daytime programme for neurodivergent young people aged 12-17 who are not currently in education.

Participants can stay active, build confidence and connect with others through weekly boxing, gym sessions and our weekly Connect Hour.

Timetable:

Ellesmere Port: Wednesdays at 2pm at Wirral CP Boxing Club

🏋️ Gym Sessions
Northwich: Fridays at 1pm at Brio Gym
Ellesmere Port: Fridays at 12pm at Brio Gym

💬 Connect Hour: Relaxed group sessions led by our qualified counsellor:
