FAQ Tuesday: Where do I work? 👋

Coming to a new clinic for the first time - especially with a baby or young child - can feel like a lot to think about. So in today’s FAQ Tuesday, I’m showing you exactly where to go when you come for your appointment.

Address: Within Iris Health & Beauty, 86 Waterloo Road, Norwich, NR3 1EW

In this video you’ll see:
- Where I work
- Where to park
- How to find the entrance
- Where the waiting area is
- The rooms I work from

This is where I offer both sole osteopathy appointments and combined appointments with Andrea (midwife and IBCLC appointments), depending on what support you and your little one need.

My aim is always to make your visit feel as calm, clear and comfortable as possible before you even step into the treatment room.

If you have any questions before your appointment, you’re always welcome to get in touch.

FAQ: Can osteopathy help with pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy?
Yes - in many cases, it can.
Pelvic girdle pain, often called PGP, is usually mechanical. This means it can be influenced by how the joints, muscles and soft tissues around your lower back, pelvis and hips are moving and functioning.
During pregnancy, it’s always a good idea to get checked if you’re experiencing pelvic pain or discomfort. Some of the muscles around the lower back and pelvis play an important role in supporting your body as it adapts through pregnancy, and they can also help guide baby down towards the cervix in an optimum position.
Sometimes, tension in these areas - from desk-based work, previous injuries, postural changes or the natural adaptations of pregnancy - can affect how comfortable you feel day to day.
Osteopathy can help by assessing what may be contributing to your symptoms and using gentle, tailored treatment to support better movement, reduce tension and help you feel more comfortable as your pregnancy progresses.
If you’re struggling with pelvic girdle pain, you don’t have to just “put up with it”.
Drop me a message or book an appointment if you’d like support during your pregnancy

*Combined Osteopathy + IBCLC Clinics are back next week*

After the summer break, my combined clinics with Andrea, IBCLC, are starting again - and we can’t wait to support more families.

These appointments are for parents who would like joined-up support with their baby’s feeding, comfort and development.
They may be helpful if you’re navigating things like:
• Breastfeeding challenges
• Latch difficulties
• Tongue function concerns
• Wind, reflux-like symptoms or unsettledness
• Tension, head preferences, head turning one way more than the other or difficulty getting comfortable
• Wanting practical, evidence-based guidance and reassurance

During your appointment, you’ll have support from both me, a paediatric osteopath specialising in infant feeding and Andrea who is a midwife and IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant), so we can look at the bigger picture together and help you feel clearer about the next steps.

We currently have:
🗓 Wednesday 26th August - 11am
🗓 Friday 4th September - 10am
Only one space available on each date.

FAQ Tuesday: What happens if my baby cries during an appointment?
Firstly - it’s completely okay. Babies cry. It’s one of the ways they communicate, and it doesn’t mean the appointment has “gone wrong”.
During paediatric osteopathy appointments, I always respond to your baby’s cues.
That might mean we pause, change position, have a cuddle, bounce, distract, feed, or take a little break.
Anything goes.
The aim is never to “carry on regardless”. Your baby’s signals guide the pace of the appointment, and we work with them in a way that feels as calm, supportive and respectful as possible.
So if you’re worried your baby might cry, please know: they’re allowed to be a baby here
If you have questions about what to expect at your baby’s first appointment, feel free to send me a message.

“Gentle, kind, attentive… and putting parents at ease too.”

This lovely feedback means so much, because paediatric osteopathy is never just about the baby on the treatment table - it’s about supporting the whole family.

When little ones come in, my priority is always to help them feel safe, comfortable and respected. Some babies are wriggly, some are unsure, some need extra time, and that’s completely okay. Every appointment is adapted to your child and what they need that day.

And for parents? I know how big those worries can feel. Whether you’re navigating feeding challenges, tension, unsettledness, or developmental concerns, having a calm space to ask questions and feel supported can make such a difference.

So grateful for these kind words

If you’d like to chat about whether paediatric osteopathy or infant feeding support could be right for your baby, send me a DM and I’ll be happy to help.

FAQ Tuesdays: How are the combined appointments going?

15 families supported so far through our combined appointments

We’re so pleased with how these appointments are going and it’s been such a privilege to support families with a wide range of feeding goals and challenges.

So far, we’ve supported families who:
- aren’t breastfeeding at all and want guidance around feeding
- are looking to move away from using ni**le shields
- need support with positioning and attachment
- simply want to optimise feeding and feel more confident

Every family is different, and our aim is always to provide supportive, inclusive and non-judgemental care that meets you where you are.

A quick update: we’re currently changing diary systems, so please bear with us if there are any technical hiccups over the next few days. If you’ve already booked an appointment, don’t worry - your appointment has been transferred into the new diary.

I’ll be adding the online booking link to my bio, along with more information about the appointments too.

If you’d like support with infant feeding, positioning, attachment or your baby’s comfort, you’re able to book directly via the link in my bio

FAQ Tuesday: Do I also treat adults?

Yes - I do.

Although much of my work focuses on babies, children and infant feeding, osteopathic principles can be applied at every age and stage of life.

Babies can hold tension.
Children can hold tension.
Adults can hold tension too.

The way I work may look different depending on who is on the treatment couch, yet the principles remain the same: looking at the body as a whole, understanding how everything connects, and supporting the body to move and function as well as possible.

So whether you’re bringing your baby in for feeding-related support or you’re wondering if osteopathy could support you too - you’re very welcome here.

A calm, supportive, non-judgemental space for the whole family
